What would cause the SRS light to randomly flash in a fairly random pattern?

The only pattern I could detect was off for about 11-14 seconds, on for about 4-6.

What kind of car? Are you the first owner?

It's the 99 Civic EX, second owner, no mods that could cause this. There is also a light flickering I have noticed in the head lights, and gauge cluster, but not anywhere else like the dome light, or radio panel. The SRS light only seems to come on when I am driving on the freeway, I haven't seen it come on below 60.

Crazy. Have you checked the plug at the SRS controller? Or the ground?

If the light bothers you more then not having air bags, just pull the fuse lol.

Wouldn't happen to know where the controller is? This is the only model I haven't had a service manual for. Actually, I may have a digital copy I DL'ed.

EDIT: Yip, I've got the Helms in digital form :) Looks like the SRS unit is right next to the gas pedal, which could have easily been hit when we were installing my stereo a few weeks ago ....hmmm, about the same time I noticed the SRS light, and the flickering. Thanks for the direction to head.
