What he said. ^^^^ Or Go to Google, type in "cometic " find the style that you want. Then Google common sense, buy some of that too .

@calesta ok. but nvr really thought about that. cuz i jus tried sites like passwordjdm since they sell stuff for my car. but thanks.
@josh_crewdson@y nvr heard of that. thanks. and yah ill look up common sense and buy it. then ill give it to u. that way b4 u say stuff like that u should have seen my other post. it clearly states that im new to this. plus i have done some research.
@Dual-500 thanks. lol i like the quotes but yah i dont play final fantasy.

Everything below the short solid line crossing the page is considered "Signature" and doesn't relate to the post.

My post was simply "eBay" - goto eBay and search for "Cometic" or whatever gasket brand you are looking for and you may find a good price.

Disregard the signature, just some funny quotes by members from other threads.

A quick search of your posting history on HondaSwap reveals that you've been here since 2011 and that "I'm new to this" has been your go-to response anytime anyone has ever suggested that run a search or do some reading. In fact, I remember you because I responded to you in several of your older threads. You can only use that excuse for so long. At what point are you actually going to do some research and quit asking to be spoon-fed?

In your other thread (BTW you only need one) you said you had a "head gasket problem". This could be as simple as replacing the gasket, but you could also need machining it you warped the head. In order to do any of this, you would need to drain the oil and coolant, so any cross-contamination would be taken care of and you wouldn't need to "check" for it. But the fact that you're asking questions like this, you're not qualified/skilled to do this job. Take it to a shop and let someone do it right.

Damn... Honesty burn.. Truth hurts!!! Oh, and im new to this..

Looks to me like he already changed the head gasket once. If he in fact already did. I would guess his issue isn't the head gasket. Possibly a warped block. What may have caused it is excessively beating on the motor and/or modifying the ecu improperly or something else similar.

I've noticed he also has a habit of posting once and not returning or not listening to advice.

Well I do research and I have asked a lot of question fyi. My friend had built the car me. What sucks he used all kinds of parts to put my car together. Yah I get u wanna put me down and act like I stupid but fact is im really learning this as I go. I have other things that im going through so I can be like majority of u guys and play with my car all day or spare some time to research things on the internet to look for things I dont understand at all. Im tryn to understand how to build car or even fix it.
Also my friend had taken a distributer that didnt really fit my car so now I have to get a new one. So is it still useless for me to buy a street performance head gasket if im gonna buy a new distributor. Becuase I remember someone telln me that I might have to re do the timing on the distributor so that vetec works right. And would there still any chance I might loose compression ratio.
But what do I now right im jus a newby who doesnt noe anything. And only comes on here after a two year disappearance.

I didn't mean to offend you. I was just being honest. From experience, the worst thing in the world is to spend the time and money to fix something, then it doesn't work or breaks because you didn't have a handle on what you were doing.

He'll probably still take offense to this...

No worries. Im tryn my best to take other ppl opinion. See I dont know the terminology for most of the things im tryn to talk about with my car. So yah it sounds dumb when I ask question but I aint stupid. Im here to learn. So like I said I am new to this bcuz I have no clue what does what. So help me learn.

I have a few questions for you.. So your oil and coolant are mixed? Is that why you are concluding that your head gasket is kaput? I trying to help you out here, what brought you to think that you have a bad head gasket? What has been done so far?

Well I was told by friends who are technicians that I had a blown head gasket because a very distinct smell plus the white smoke that was comn out of the exhaust. But I had research how to check for a blown head gasket on youtube. I forgot what I looked at but they said I can do a compression test using a specific liquid that I can do it through the radiator. Now the original color is blue before I started the car. At the end a 10 min span it change to a greenish color which indicated that I had a been blown gasket. So far nothing has been done because I have no money to fix it right now. I haven't touch it since I blown the gasket.

ok, you are on the right track. you need a kit to do that test you are talking about. a quick way to tell is to look at the spark plugs.. see what candition they are in. do you have to keep topping off your coolant? are the radiator hoses bulging like they are going to burst? also, while the engine is running, is there a constant supply of bubbles in the radiator (with the cap off, naturally)...

on another note, whoever did your engine work... was the head machined prior to reassembly? not for performance purposes, but for straightness...was the head removed properly (head bolts removed in the correct sequence)... you have to find out whats going on with your engine build man... saving a few bucks usually costs you in the end...

Ok. I get what ur sayn. Ok I did the test a while back and it confirmed it was a blown head gasket. I dont drive my car anymore. I'm gonna drain the oil soon and use engine flush to clean what ever gunk is in my engine. I would have to ask my friend if the head had prior damage before he swap the motor.

Three questions: is it necessary to change the o rings on a piston if the gasket is blown? Is also good to change the water pump and timing belt too? Would I have to change any other hoses?

Im going to be changing my head gasket soon and I was planning on changing the timing belt and water pump while I was doing it because 1, its about that time and 2, makes it alot easier if you have it apart anyway. As far as the hoses, you can change them if you want but if they are ok then you shouldnt need to. Is your car burning oil? Is that why you were asking about your rings? I dont think you need to change those if you just have a blown head gasket. Like dc4dude said, look at your spark plugs.. they can tell you a lot about what your engine is doing. Also about the engine flush.. not sure what you were planning but I read somewhere once that if your engine is so gunked up that it is giving you problems, no engine cleaner is going to do the job. Since you're removing the head you could really clean it up then. Thats what I planned on doing.

I c what ur sayn. Yah see how my engine looks like when I actually do it. Idk if it was burning oil. Cuz when I drive it white smoke was comn out. But Ill check everything.
