Problems with my rear disc conversion

I did my conversion using 99 Civic Si parts. Rear trailer arms, calipers and e-brake cables off of a 92 Si hatch. My car is a 92 Civic CX hatch. Everything fits and bolts up. I bled the brakes but I can only get a little pressure on the peddle. Not enough to stop the car? When the car is off, I get full pressure though and the brake peddle pumps all the way up. What am I missing?

Thanks.

i would bleed them again... starting at the furthest from the MC to the closest, and do all four.

I'm having similar issues I'm going to rebleed all my lines, if that doesn't work I'm going to replace my master cylinder. I have to anyways.

Thanks for the suggestion, I went back and bled all four corners again and it got better but still not what it was. I'm assuming it should be much better now that I have discs in the back, but I think I'm going to change the Master cylinder. Like I said, I have a 92 CX hatch and my rear disc come off of a 99 SI, what master cylinder should I get? One from a 99 SI, one from an Integra? Which Integra, a DC or a DA? Thanks for the help.

If you get an Integra master cylinder, get a DC- but make sure the mounting tabs line up. I used a DC master in my 95 (same generation as yours) and it wouldn't bolt up to the booster, so I swapped over the entire master cylinder and booster at the same time from the donor Integra.

I really don't want to change both, do you know which MCs will just bolt up and get me more pressure?

It's not too hard to change both... but 90-91 Civic EX will be the largest one in the stock mounting bolt pattern (I think) at 15/16". I'm pretty sure there's either an Accord or Prelude master that will work too, but I've not researched too deeply into those since I never had to use one.

Why dont u get the correct proportioning valve instead of the master cylinder .....that is what ur supposed to do to get the right pressure to the front and rear

This turned out to be money!! The difference is so big, I should have changed this MC even before I put the discs on the rear. It really feels way better!!! Car stops really good now. I'll probably change the prop valve when I get Integra front brakes, but for now this is already much better braking.

Here's a picture for anyone who has the same question. My Civic CX came with the one on top which a 13/16" MC and the 91 Civic 4 door EX MC which is 15/16 is the one on the bottom. All of the bolts match perfect.
