Went to the shop where Cory Miller worked first but after a quick trip to another shop around the corner with great reviews I went for it. Peeps were very cool and was calm all through the process. pain wasnt even that bad. check it out! Been having alot of changes in life and with my family going through other changes (sister and brother) I've always wanted something to remind me of where I'm from, who i am and who i'm proud to be. Its represents my family, heritage and pride.

here's the processs

this is after day 2. no peeling or scabbing yet. All in all I'm very happy and glad I did it! took 3.5 hours

I shaved my entire chest and down that area too.....regretting every freaking minute of it.

the area getting tattoo'ed has to have 0 hair soo the needle doesnt snag it and or clog up the tube, better that you shaved everything rather than a missing fur patch with a tattoo in it lol been there done that, but why tribal flash art ? shit looked cool in a book yo

Can you read? He said it was for his family, heritage, and pride. If you haven't noticed, Taco is Mexican. This isn't the typical bullshit "tribal" you see on most douchebags. Or maybe you don't understand or recognize cultural art? Sounds logical... That's like making fun of a japanese person for getting something in japanese tattooed on them...

Yup took your advice. I didn't want typical tribal at but the rendering was. So I combined the carved out look with it. Shitty pi I know but with the shading it has cracks as if the eagle is IN the skin rather that tattoo on top like a tribal.

Chest is fine. I got carried away and shaved EVERYTHING if you know what I mean. With pants rubbing, I've got mad razor burn. Right on my belt line. Ouch!

Good thing you aren't me lol. I didn't want much color bright stuff. I like it but its not what I was going for. I wanted rock style, old shading type stuff. Mrs taco on the other hand is jelly and is thinking of her design. She wants very small paw prints walking up her back.

dont let her do it , I worked at madd inks tattoo for 3 years, every woman and her mother that want tattoos, dont know what they want, but want tattoos, want paw prints up their side/back, or cherry blossom trees, yada yada etc , and whoever made the kanji remark ealier , I have no japanese writing, nautical stars, or any of that other dumb shit , I do have the high side of 35 tattoos though

Yeah she prolly won't. If she does she eats it very small and very conservative. We're not the type to go showing them off. To her it's for her and my eyes only. It fits her since she is gonna become a vet and helping animals

She was thinking 4-6 prints the size of a penny.

I've had my first planned out for a good few years now. In that time its slightly changed a bit but I was mostly holding out til I found the right artist. I've found the one I want in the Detroit area and we've talked about it. Now it just comes down to booking it. She's usually booked up for 6months to a year.

I also waited forever for my date to get my last one done. Once the day came, I finally saw the drawling of it, 4 sessions and 20+ hours later its done. I'd show it off but I don't want to be judged.

I dont pay for any of my tattoos, part of the perks of working at a tattoo shop ...... you get covered fast, my only advice you guys need to take, which im supprised how many of you actually dont have tattoos (and which im not bashing tacos it looks good) but if your going to get somthign perminent, dont hunt around for a deal, dont shop around, find the best artist you can, and spend the most money you possibly can, and take time with your idea (like taco) dont just go in on a whim and pick somthing off the wall or interwebs

There's already a tattoo thread or at least was.

My last tattoo cost me $4000 That's like 3 running SHOs and a parts SHO.

And I was right, you either barter/or got hooked up. Tattoos add up fast and if you have a lot, you couldn't afford a SHO, you'd be on a moped.
