Picked this up a few days ago. It's a 2000 Audi S4 with 115k miles on it.

Bought it from the second owner. I got a stack of maintenance records, all performed at the dealer.

It has the APR stage 1 reflash, upgraded diverter valves, BBS wheels, newish tires. All of the major maintenance has been done (with receipts).

It has 307 hp and 377 ft/lbs of torque and all wheel drive. The interior is like new. I also got the stock Avus wheels with it.

I really like it so far. I do have it apart right now for some preemptive maintenance. I'm going to redo the timing belt/water pump/thermostat/etc. It's been a few years, but the job isn't that hard and it's cheap insurance since this is going to be more or less a weekend/fun car for me and the gf.

Nice deal ! I'm imagining $5500.. Close ?

That's what I was planning on ^. If anyone else has any other preventative maintenance suggestions while I have the car torn apart let me know.

Bigger turbos? Front mount? While you have it apart...

Right on man.

Nice. I love how Audi allows you to remove or swing the whole front end out giving you full access to the front of the engine.

I still remember the first time I took the front end off my a4. I kept looking at it thinking how the F do I get to such and such part... Then once I figured out you unbolt one side and swing it out and away. It was one of those moments of awesome! Germans build cars in such a way that makes life really easy once you figure out how to deal with it.

I'm digging it. Do these things tend to be pretty reliable or notoriously unreliable?

Somewhere in the middle 4 out of 7 days a week, the other 3 days flip a coin.

If you are good with cars and keep up with them, they are fine, but the prices for parts are carzy. The timing belt kit for my old a4 was $1200 at the local dealership. Just parts.

Guessing $900-1100 if i shopped around.

900-1100? That's from the stealership though. My kit ran $300. Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, radiator fluid, and some other things I can't think of now.

Yup OEM parts. I did search around online and for some reason the 3.0 v6 was just really high.

nice car man...love it....did he change to bigger injectors when he did the APR flash...its highly recommended....

Good find. I recently bought an audi and I love it so far. I will have to do my timing belt in the next 10k or so, and I was a bit taken back by having to remove the whole front to get to it.

The front end actually comes off surprisingly easy. I almost forgot about your Audi thread, how has yours treated you so far?
