So my wife went to go to the store, and the car wouldn't start. when you turn the key all the power comes on, but there is nothing else. Nothing happens in the engine bay though. No activity from the starter, it's like the clutch isn't being pushed in.

Unfortunately this is the one model I don't have a service manual for. What should I be looking at?

Bypass the clutch switch and see if something happens

Also can you hear the fuel pump spool up when the key is switched to on?

Any sound from the main relay clicking on?

If I remember correctly there is a plastic piece on the clutch pedal that engages the switch. Mine broke once and I had the same problem. I put a bolt in place of the plastic piece and it worked. Not sure if this is your problem, but worth checking.

I hear the fuel pump, and I am guessing the main relay, everything looks and sound normal except it's not starting. There's no click or chunk, or anything.

Found this little piece of plastic on the floor of the driver side, so I guessing that's it.

Anyone know the technical name for it so I can look up where exactly it goes?

I posted a pic above. When you look at the hinge on the pedal you should be able to see where it used to be. Clutch interlock switch maybe.

Yea, that's it. I can see up in there to where it was, but I have no idea how I am going to get my big ass hands up there to put something in it's place. I guess I could just jump C418 right, that's all it does it connect those two wires, so if I just connected them together it would be like the interlock is always depressed?

I broke a couple at the junk yard trying to remove them, not designed to be removed I guess. The local Honda has them in stock for $3, I guess I'll just go pick one up. The hard part is going to be getting the new one in, it's a really tight fit.
