HS LEGEND
brother ended up joining the air force about a year ago, and got stationed over in the UK, so he decided to buy himself an "accomplishment present." had it shipped over from somewhere in maryland. theyre pretty cool cars with a ton of aftermarket support.
he has already bought/installed badge overlays and plans on getting the wheels done black.

he has alot planned for this car. but most of it will come later on down the road.
on the forum's there have been alot of issues with the intercooler couplers blowing off(they just werent tightened at the factory) and on some of them the turbo is defective from the factory...everything is under a TSB and covered by FORD. so after it has some miles put on it i believe hes going with a cobb intercooler kit, cobb intake, cobb rear motor mount(if you shift them hard the engine rocks and there is a loud clunk, replacing the mount fixes this) and some other small odds and ends. im really trying to talk him into the first real mod being a cobb tuner.

I have a friend also in the Air Force, was stationed in UK before, but just came back from Germany where he had just gotten back to from Kyrgyzstan. He picked one up before he left Germany. It sucks that it's USDM, it would have been neat to have an EUDM one. He got it sent out to Las Vegas though, that's where he's stationed next, so I never got to see it. :(

Way better than what the Focus was. My ex had an old one. Even brand new the thing was a hunk of shit. Cut to a friend buying one like that to commute. He said it was actually a lot of fun to drive. I laughed at him. He made me drive it. I apologized. Night and day from what the model started as.

my sister had a zetec focus sedan, it was really decent. i can't say anything bad about that car. i even picked up an H stock trophy in it...

An ST? That he had shipped from the US to the UK? Does not compute.

Should have bought an RS in the UK

Yea, I was also wondering why he didn't get an RS over there... it's a pretty decent step up in power I think.

Yeah, it's a totally USDM car. It's the same one you or I could buy. Buying an RS there would have been the same as buying one here. It's real fun to go around the track in, but go ahead and try to register it.

Maryland is in the UK?

My coworker just bought one. 6-speed. I'm driving it soon. The interior is nice. Seats hug you big time. She says it's fast. I'll be the judge of that (soon) lol.

Wait a sec. Did I miss something ?
wife or focus?

2010 RS are going for about what he paid for the ST

probably because he wouldn't have been able to bring it back with him so easy.
bringing cars from the UK is actually pretty damn hard to do, even if they are LHD.
he has already looked into bringing cars back and its not worth the bullshit.

maryland in the US.

you guys all miss the point. YOU CAN'T BRING AN RS OVER FROM THE UK.

however, you can bring the USDM ST back, easily.
