We have a 79 Honda Civic with the motor locked, We also have an extra JDM motor we would like to swap into the Honda. The whole JDM motor ID is D15B2231851. It has two carburetors and we would like to use our old engine carburetor, distributor, and intake if there is any way to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or can we possibly put our old head on the new motor?
Thanks in advance.

the parts will not change from one to the other, the good thing is your new motor is carbed so no crazy wiring should be going on. if you swap the d15 in there everything will have to be custom made tho, axles, mounts and all. but ive seen everything from d series to k series in these cars so it can be done.and you by far have the easiest motor to deal with when it comes to a swap.

Thanks, AHHVTEC

Thanks, we will consider NOT doing it, lol. But...we may, who knows? Thanks for the answer.

We don't want more power or another engine really, just going to try to make a water car from this Honda. Other engines can't be used as easily. That's why we wanted to use the old carb on the newer engine.

i carb is a carb, just use the carbs that came with the engine, or upgrade to webers.
