Thanks guys.

I'll post a picture of the dyno sheet. Motor hit a tiny bit over 227whp too but the final was lower hp with little more tq.

Middle Run was final run. He lost the data of the first run after air/fuel tweak only (215whp)

That's an awesome looking graph man- if you can just keep it breathing out to 8500 like it does at 7500 you'd be right on top of 250whp. That was my goal with my GSR build- maintain the 150-160 lbft out to 8500 and I would have hit it...

I think cams, springs, injectors, and a TB will get me pretty close to 250whp.
Then a K24 bottom End (w/pistons-rods) maybe 290+whp

I figure a trans rebuild will be somewhere in between.....it's a sensitive and weak piece of crap.
That'll be a first time headache experience

Which transmission are you running again? The K20 Type-S transmission should handle that amount of power with no problem...

If you're going to rebuild the bottom end with K24 pieces, do that first- otherwise you'll want to get a different set of cams once it's all done to match the new bottom end setup.

Whole swap is K20A Type R except for a RBC IM. 4.7 FD with OEM LSD.

Makes sense about the cams. I might just sell and purchase again when the K24 drops.

I just did a quick scan for pictures of pistons- did you build the bottom end? Didn't want to read through it all again. If you did, then I'd just build the top and rev the piss out of it to get your power. The stock bottom has been good up past 260whp with just work done above the head gasket- if you're going to go 2.4L, I'm sure you'd make a lot more than 290whp with the right setup, especially if you're willing to shell out for pistons/rods and a fresh build on the bearings and everything.

Motor is all stock. Just breathing better and a quick tune.

It's plenty of fun. I just want to go faster. My heart is in Drag Racing but race track seems really fun....if I had better brakes, suspension, tires, $$$$ It's all expensive.

Not doing much to it for a while. Except some drag radials.

Great numbers man! I think your running out of octane or breath on the top end.

Try adding a meth kit and cams and see if they can safely add some timing.

Pump E85 at AM/PM but the variations in the % of ethonal can vary way too much at a pump. The regulations are as loose as a whore on the Vegas strip. Now Sunco has a great E85 that is 85% ethonal ALL the Time. $10/gallon.

E85 would mean I'd run (on the low side) 650 injectors.

thought e85 was supposed to be cheaper than 87... Or is that the inconsistant stuff?

Pump stuff can vary so much. You can get a good batch...no doubt. But, yes, it's inconsistent...like 70% instead of 85% (winter as an example).

Then add in the fact of it sitting....like winter time. Any condensation is bad news for E85. Been thinking about The blends offered by a few race gasoline makers.

$10/gallon is high but if I only drag race and tow it there....not that much gas is consumed. Couple bucks a pass.
