When they do that on the edge of Niagara Falls, I'll be impressed.

Don't quote me on this but I think Niagra flows almost twice as fast as Victoria which is why this is possible. Victoria is taller and maybe wider but Niagra takes the win for the amount of water going over the edge. I was just at Niagra in August and couldn't believe the power of the water when at the edge of it at the visitor complex. If somebody has never been go and go to the Canadian side. We thought we would only be there a couple of hours and spent all day and into the evening. FWIW the activity pass on the Canadian side is a better deal in my opinion.
It depends on what your looking to do.
The Canadian side has the better view of the falls. The Canadian side has better infrastructure and has more "touristy" stuff. Restaurants, bars, Ripley's, haunted houses, nicer hotels, etc. If your 19, you can legally drink over there, not a bad deal when you live 1/2 hour from the border.
The American side has the better park system. And if you want to get up close to the edge, is probably the better side. You can't go for a swim, there are actually specific laws on the subject. Not to mention that you will die.
Years ago, when the industry was booming out there, they decided to build up the park system to offset the gaudy looking industrial side of the city. A good idea at the time...until the clean water act. It left the Canadian side with the better infrastructure, and the American side has never really recovered. But there are more than parks on our side. There are wineries, the whirlpool, and plenty to do in Buffalo. You could probably spend a day in Buffalo alone.

I love to check out "not on the map" attractions.
And yea, I'd hit up the pool if I found myself in that part of Africa.
If you like the not so touristy attractions check out the Canadian side boardwalk that is on the other side of the bridge I thought it was pretty cool. There is also a hiking trail on the US side as well. The cool think about buying the adventure pass on the Canadian side is that you get to use the public bus system for 48 hours free I think. So if you want to explore some more sites you can park and ride the bus.
