i cant claim credit for this. but i showed my brother this and this was his reply:

"Government shuts down, Spends more than ever because of food stamp glitch"

Seriously. They said the shelves were empty. What do you think Walmart's inventory cost is for things that EBT can buy? If one cart had as much as $700 in it, and they referenced a Black Friday size crowd, I'd be astonished if this wasn't well into the 6 figures.

Ah... the Leisure class has once again, improved our lives and our civilization.

When is everyone gonna realise that this vermin is a pox upon society ?

I bet these people thought that did nothing wrong and that they are Entitled to it.

More than half of this stuff was probably sold for drugs. These people should be arrested for knowing they were stealing.

A lot of the Obama cell phones are lent to drug dealers for drugs.

This system really needs to go away.

I was at my local walmart when the EBT system went down last saturday. Folks said "Aw shucks" and were upset that they weren't allowed to put the items back. They apologized and said they would return when the system came back up.

In CT my friend was present at a Stop and Shop when the system went down. It wasn't a riot, but it was pandemonium. Carts shoved into associates, "people" yelling and hooting about it, knocking over signs and shit on the way out. One window was broken.

Guess the x factor.

Clearly the people involved in the violent altercation were lower middle class, employed Caucasians.

A spokeswoman for Xerox (a vendor for the EBT system) Jennifer Wasmer, said, "If there is an EBT system outage, there is an agreed and documented process for retailers to follow. The process includes a 'per cardholder, per day' spending limit that is set at a state level." In Louisiana, the limit is $50 per cardholder per day, she said.

I hope EBT sticks to the limit and Walmart gets fucked out of all that "profit".

I read elsewhere that WalMart is going to be forced to pay for it due to them not implementing a $50 limit when they were capable of doing it.

i'm not sure the story on this
i am going to assume they shut the registers down and told the people to GTFO, or else the EBT system finally got cut off
The EBT system was working, but with incorrect card limits at first. Finally the system restored itself with the correct card limits. Then the stores made announcements that the system had been restored with proper balances and people walked out leaving full carts behind.

^^ this

fucking FSA shit bags were clearing the shelves when they thought they could get it all without paying for it

they really need to punish these fuckers

i know no one is gong to have charges pressed on them but at very least they should hold back those worthless fuckers EBT benefits until the value of shit they over charged is equaled out... (if you get 200 per month and you went on your FSA shopping spree for 800 worth of shit then you are on your own until Feb) unfortunately no one will do that :( cant piss off or offend the Free Shit Army

and im not letting the tards at wally world off the hook either
for their stupid ass call they need to eat every bit of their loss as well

I think food benefits should be set up food bank way. The gov't could buy in bulk saving money and distribute decent quality healthier food to people. None of this buying soda, chips, and cookies on the card. I hate seeing people buy smokes, lotto, philies, and alcohol cash then break out their card to buy a can of soda and some snacks.
