Well after years and years of bugging him, my buddy daniel finally gave me a price for his 79 cvcc civic im thinking about selling my crx and buying for for 5k ! its sweet, and still has the factory cvcc engine it it , haha lovve it, what yall think ?

true, I mean there is no mechanical issues with it though, it runs great, doesnt burn/leak anything, clutch feels good, its amazing on gas, Id probably leave it exactly as it is, ive never seen another one like it, and I owned a 78 cvcc as my first car and my father and started a d series swap in it and never finished it and ended up selling the project, and if I have to squat on it till I get the cash it isnt going anywhere

lol I agree, I mean its been a DD over the years quite a few times, My dads best friend is the owner of this car, and I remember being 12/13 years old and buffing the car for free just for fun lol I wouldnt even swap this puppy or anything, its a beautiful machine lol

I think they shut down around 2009 unfortunately. Too bad...I liked SCC. They focused more on tech stuff than a lot of the other magazines...had a lot of project cars too...

They also had the challenge every year. Don't know why they always let Vipers and Ferraris in it, but they definitely always had a varied and original field of participants.

After 2 years of SCC (I got mine way long ago, I think 1990 ? Either way, up till recently I had issue #1) I finally stopped paying $3.25 a month to read a 50 page Jackson Racing ad.

I was lying in the old thread, Its a pretty much known fact anything of mine over a year old is prob bullshit, omar ortiz built the car new and built the car originally , and was the owner when it was in SCC, sold it to my father in 96-97 ish, my father Chris Dilbeck ran quite a few car audio shops in north ga and used it as a demo vehicle for them, got countless high spl setups in it over the years ( I would come home from elementery school and buff/wax the car , first stick shift I drove even, 01/02 ish my father sold to Daniel Purcell (his partner in the businesses), ive been trying to buy the car back since then, each name noted can be found in my facebook friends, if I have to I get contact info ,lol sware thats the god honest truth
