Ok, so ever since selling my integra, the need for speed has slowly been getting on top of me... I find myself watching videos of the GTR and dreaming. I don't know how anyone that's into fast cars wouldn't want one. They are just stupid fast... the new hottest version hitting something like 7:08 on the 'Ring.

I thought this video was particularly good because the GM of the marina I work at recently bought one of these ridiculous jaguar XKR-S and he thinks hes the coolest douchebag in palm beach.

I suck at internets, this is the only way I could figure to link, its from Top Gear..

0-60 in 2.7 seconds, yes please. grip that will rip your face off, yeah cmon!

the damn thing clocked the same time on top gears track as the Zonda for gods sake.

Yea and you might as well be playing Forza. Thatd get old fast. Give me a ZR1 or Z06 over that thing any day.

haha alright, i forgot theres a bunch of german lovers here. whatever, i really only like japanese cars, and the GTR is the baddest one ever made. If anything, double0si has a point, a ZR1 or Z06 is the only competition at a similar price point, and the only i would be seen driving. yall can keep your eurotrash.

Everyone I know that's ever driven or owned one of these says the same thing every time, even people that know nothing about cars. The thing is no fun to drive. It's too clinical, too controlled, and just too good to be any fun. There's never any fear when you go around a corner too fast, it doesn't make a particularly loin tingling noise, and you'd rather just go home and get something that is a little worse, just so you can have some more fun.

Basically all the things that make the GTR awesome are so good that it ruins the entire experience of driving it.

not going to lie, i LOVE the XKR-S .

we have one here at the office :) we're building a booth around it.

which is what makes it the ultimate winter vehicle :)

I went back and read what I wrote, after watching the new episode of top gear, and....you know what, just read it in clarkson's voice and have an awesome day.

i want to drive one to see if its really as "bad" as you guys say.

I'm sure its fun to drive. Tame compared to other comparable cars. True super cars command respect and take a good driver to control. A super car shouldn't be something grandma could drive.

Chaz hit the nail right on the head. It's not a bad car, but it's not scary like it should be. If I was given one, I wouldn't trade it away, but if I was going to spend a hundred grand on a car to use as a toy just to blow my hair back, I think I'd probably take a ZR1 or an R8.

It's definitely better than any car I've ever owned, and likely will ever own (unless I grow a pair and actually start my own company...AND it succeeds), but if you've got the cash to buy one, it's probably the least fun toy ever.

cliffs:

it's FAST AS FUCK
it's not a DRIVER'S car

the e30 m3 reigns on the driver's car title it seems... I've never driven one. It's slow as fuck by today's standards. but still, it provides a certain level of satisfaction.

EFFF ANY goddamn Vette. You can stick the baddest motor under hood and it's still a worthless piece of slapped together plastic whale poop.
It's a boat to drive and just overall horrible body since day one. I still am amazed people go crazy over them.

I'll a finely crafted GTR over a GM any day. you pay for what you get and I'll spend my money on a well put car all around instead of the redneck theory of cramming a bunch of muscle in a POS and letting it ride.

For now I guess I have to settle with my 600hp Sti :/
