hi i want to build my engine what is there that i can start with or do to it to make it faster i have a b20b non vtec

Uh... lots more than that.

JDMisaac- what are your power goals, budget, mechanical skill level?
I tend to assume that people are intelligent enough to figure out the obvious, like the fact that the one example I stated was not the only possible thing he could do to his car.
To the OP, do a search, there are literally hundreds of things you could do.

im a new mechanic. wanting to learn more. so not knowing much of anything.............. lol

the engine is a b20b and gsr transmission header full exhaust 6 puck clutch oem2 with a hondatas300 or what ever its called. i wanna vtec later but as of a small upgrade things i can do to start.

also i have a leak in my gas tank, the piping before the actually tank scrapped on the grand while leaving apartments. is there anything i can use to seal other than welding?

also have a fuel air ratio gauge. idk if that helps any and what should it be ticking at. yes i have a car that i dont know much of anything about other than its quick and the guy who had it before me did the work. i bought the car as is to keep from having to do a engine swap ect.

Hi i was needing help with 2 things....

First is there any thing i can use to seal a gas leak i believe its coming from the piping from the actual gas nozzlle if that makes sence. the first picture the gas is leaking out of the edge not running down.. Please help

Second could a leak in my exhaust piping picture shown where it is leaking cause a back fire or a suction threw my exit on the exhaust.

merged your two threads.

for a leaking gas tank, JB weld is a fan favorite, but it is the equivalent of duct taping a hole in a vent...it's a good quick fix that you're probably going to have to fix multiple times and eventually end up replacing it. replacing a gas tank is not nearly as complex as it might sound, and is a very common learning task for someone just getting into cars.

I'm not really sure where you see a leak in that exhaust. I really dont see anything.

You can get UV dye and light from your local auto store and throw a bottle of it in your gas tank (make sure it's the gas type!). Then most of the plating around the piping down to the tank is easily removable and you should be able to see where it's coming from. There's no way around the fact that you're going to get dirty and crawl under your car! Just make sure you properly support it with jack stands and make sure the car can't roll!

Is your exhaust "custom" welded by someone other than an exhaust shop? I've seen some really bad hack jobs, my exhaust was leaking pretty bad when I got the Civic but that didn't cause any backfire issues. Are you sure it's leaking?
