I heard they might actually do away with that job in the near future and replace it with a machine that's more accurate and reliable than a human.

Anesthesiologists here make more than $500k a year. Crazy shit. I guess they do keep you on the razor edge of life and death.

most of their salary probably goes to malpractice insurance.

I'd love to see the same chart with a required premiums/costs/etc field that detract from the salary...

These were actually my thoughts in addition to the tuition to med school. I have a good friend that is an emergency med doctor and quite a few other friends that are doctors from pediatricians to psychiatrist to so on and so forth. Until they are about 35-40 years old - they are not living the good life by any stretch. Their hours continue to suck after they finally pay off their debt and start making money.

Batman wasn't on there

Wow, my line of work pays better than that down here in south FL! Boat mechanic at only $37k/yr kinda sucks. Ive been doing it about 8 years now and im right around 60k.

This list makes me realize that its amazing how little a lot of people that do pretty important/stressful/dangerous jobs get paid.

don't forget these are nationwide.

a swamp boat tech in n'orleans is factored in to the same group as you in ritzy yatch tech land too. (example)

I too am a little underpaid according to the chart, but i'm not in silicon valley where housing is ridiculous

They always give me too much. Even when I tell them that my weigh does not translate to needing more.
im still waiting for the grown up part to kick in.
i dont feel like a grown up.
i still dont know what i want to be.
Right there with you.

I was gonna be mad at mine and then I realized the majority of the people in computer engineering are in california and paid accordingly.
