I got the OEM accessory trunk mat for like $20 on eBay. Super win :D

Got the new front bumper and all associated new OEM clips/screws/fasteners on today...the front end is still a bit wonky, and the hood/fenders/headlights need a few more hours of adjusting to sit perfectly (if they'll even get there)... but the new bumper REALLY cleans up the overall look of the car I think! Having had all the dents removed and the car wetsanded/buffed/polished helps, too, I'm sure :D

Shouldn't be but another day until the new rear bumper and spoiler are back from paint :D

If you forgot your discounts, "how much" have you thrown at this car? Because you basically took it from a high schooler's beater, to an adult's garage kept daily.

Without his discounts? My guess would be north of $5k. Detail and wet sand alone are probably at least $2k. Especially having Nicks Custom Detailing do the work. That guy is fantastic at what he does and has an even more impressive collection in his portfolio.

Just in parts? Or including labor as well?

If someone was to have started where I did with this car and brought it to a shop to have all of this done, somewhere in the neighborhood of $8k, lol

Not many people have the luxury of having a job with all those hook ups. I'd like to have those types of connections, but then I realized I wouldn't really use them all that much. Maybe 3-4 times in my lifetime.

Perks like this almost make up for the long hours, horrendous stress, and shitty pay that come with owning a business ;)

I guess I didn't think about my question. I was thinking just parts/supplies, but then I realized you'd have to know how to paint/wetsand/mechanical and have all the supporting equipment.

...with two posts, for a double dose of this pimpin'

:D

Meanwhile, the RSX is in some decent company at the shop today...

I wish I knew where any churches were around here so I could take photos in their parking lots, since that seems to be what the cool kids are into these days...I mean, I'm sure there are tons around here, this is Texas...I just don't give enough shits about church to notice 'em.

Bumper and wing on, and got everything but those two pieces glass coated! We'll have to wait for the new paint to cure before we can glasscoat them, otherwise it won't cure right. The front bumper is a bit different shade than the rest of the car, and the rear bumper and spoiler are also a bit different - but for the deal I got them painted for, and for them having been painted sight unseen, they look a billion times better than what was on there! To be fair, the fenders and hood are a bit different than the rest of the car as well, as they were painted at some other point prior to me owning it. Whatever, doesn't look bad at all in person, and for all intents and purposes the car is perfect!

I also painted the muffler flat black and tacked on a nice tip I had sitting around at the shop - the old stock tip was dingy and dirty and all scraped up , and I think this one fits the car perfectly...

definitely does not look like a 200k plus car. Looks great.

What is the glass coat?
