2000 Audi S4

My 2000 Audi S4. I've had it for about two years now.

Finally ordered a handful of things to put in K04 turbos. Still need quite a few things.

I have friends running similar setups to what I am going with, they are making 435whp/435wtq with meth. I am thinking about running E85 since it is close and Wil recommends it. We'll see though, people with E85 and meth tend to see closer to 450-470. That's close to rod bending numbers for these things though. One of my friends has 260k miles on the stock motor. Running his K04s at 420whp for the last 110k miles.

That was actually one of the reasons I like them. Fairly non descript sedan. Doesn't draw a whole lot of attention.

Thanks Jordan, it's fairly stock. Stage 1 tune from AMD in Woodinville. About 270whp/285wtq.

430s has been proven as a safe number on meth. Without meth or E85 385 is about a typical K04 number especially since I put maybe 3-5k on it a year .

If you run E85, get some oil analyses done. At short intervals. It totally wrecks the oil.

I ran E85 in my Evo for 4 years and 80,000 miles. Never had a problem. Don't be a keyboard scientist without any first hand experience bro.

Why run E85 and Meth? E85 alone should negate any need for meth..

How often did you change the oil? And how many oil analysis did you do? You raced that thing a lot, so I'm guessing the oil got changed fairly often.

It's not keyboard science. It's actual science. E85 fucks up your oil. If you're changing your oil every 2k, it won't matter much. Trying to do normal/extended drains = problem. E85 is more acidic than regular gas. This neutralizes the [basic] additive/detergent packs in oil. And when combined with water (which is pretty common to get some moisture in the crankcase, especially on a car that isn't driven much or on short trips) will cause even more acidity. It's a real thing.

I changed oil every 5-8k miles. Others did analysis in the evo community and things were fine. I tracked the evo only a handful of times.

It is a real thing, just at such a negligible scale it is not a concern in the real world. Keyboard scientist.

Have you found E85 up here? i searched when you first posted the thread and it there weren't many.

E85 is great if it's available. Higher octane and runs cooler.

I'd run it if it was more available here. But there's only 1 public station for it within 50 miles of me. I can't trust it to that, and I don't feel like running around with spare gas in my trunk lol.

Don't forget to make sure your fuel lines are e85 compatible

The shell on Snoqualmie ridge has e85 and is the only place I've seen it
