I have a 91 2 door honda hatch back with a b18 b1 bottom end with a b17 head and a b16 harness and a pr3 ecu with a b16 a1 dizzy I haven't bought the dizzy yet an it's the final thing I hve left to install I believe my old b16 a1 dizzy was bad cuz the car was running choppy an barely started I'm hoping this dizzy solves it if any one has other thoughts please help me out its my first build

The pr3 is going to be slightly under-fueled for the added displacement, but it shouldn't idle bumpy or anything like that. did you run the 2 dual bank o2s, like the oem pr3 ecu wants?

I did run a o2 sensor off the header as well as the knock sensor the wiring harness I'm using is a obdo dual point converted to a multipoint Idk if that would help I think the dizzy is shot tho cuz the internals of the dizzy I'm using has a loose stater an the ignition module I can't get checked:/

pr3 ecu calls for 2 o2 signals as the stock header has 2 outputs.

C16 is for oxygen sensor A which is green and oval for cyl 1/4
C8 is for oxygen sensor B with is round and white for cyl 2/3

if you don't have a manifold with bugs like this, it's going to get improper readings and never run right.

make sure that is all hooked up, along with getting the dist. issues fixed

the manifold I'm using is a pro series intake

An the ecu calls for only 1 o2 sensor on it which is C8 an Idk if it matters but it's a jdm j-50 ecu sorry I'm new on this site still getting used to it lol I appreciate your help

hrm, i thought j50's were automatics....
https://hondaswap.com/threads/honda-ecu-list.29129/

still, it still uses 2 banks for the o2
The tranny im using is a gsr 5 speed an I've drove it with that ecu an it seemed fine but that digram does say auto :/ I think my prob is still my dizzy or that 2nd o2 sensor I probably need,my buddy says that the dizzy I hve in it is obd2, supposedly it's a true jdm dizzy the code that's on it reads td-22u im hoping one of the 2 fix the problem I did use a timing light an everything was in time but the timing light flickered on an off like the timing light was going bad but we tested on another car that was fine an the timing light ran perfectly like it's supposed to in a constant matter that's why I took the dizzy off my hatch an found that the plastic an the wires were loose on the stater

Therefore causing the car to spark in properly also the car is running pretty rich

That's what I thought I knew it wasn't a obd2?lol about the timing light issue do u think its the dizzy internals going bad cause the spark to be thrown off??I cnt think of any thing else besides it being the disrbutor

Is mechanical timing lined up?

Maybe think about converting to OBD1 and solve a lot of issues. But that does dip into your wallet more.

OBD1 chipped ECU for your set up (W/ conversion harness). OBD1 B series Dizzy (W/ conversion harness or pin your wires to a OBD1 dizzy plug). And I think the O2 sensor needs to be 4 wire.

Dnt u think I could keep my dual to multipoint obdo wiring harness with a new td22u dizzy an my obdo ecu? I really would hate to switch to obd1

You can do that too. Just seems like you might have an auto ECU and (even if it was manual) it isn't right for your set up.

Maybe it's just the dizzy and you're good to go.

Did I miss the CEL codes?

What ecu do u think I should run ? I'm hoping when I buy this new dizzy it should strighten up the inconsistent spark ,an yea what cel codes do u have?

I was wondering if you had any codes.

PR3 ECU for manual is fine for OBD0 but OBD1 has a lot more options with pre mapped chips. But OBD1 will need more $$

The computer actually was thrown a code 21 but I disconnected the vtec selinod an cleaned the wires up an i added the o2 sensor an knock sensor an the car has no codes or check engine lights flashing anymore bit now my issue is the erattic sparking issue
