Hey guys! Hopefully everyone knows who I am by now. I'm building a 1996 Integra LS for Turbo, but I bought it in pieces and included was a beat up spectre intake (to be replaced), some 4-2-1 headers, and a 3" exhaust setup. I figure at this point I have all the bolt-ons, and it has 9:1 forged Eagle rod's and pistons in it and the head and block were both honed and balanced by a machine shop (same one that put the pistons in).

I plan on driving it for a little while before I do the turbo, and as of right now I'm doing the mods that will be easiest with the motor out of the vehicle.

So now I have two questions I was hoping you guys can help me with....

1: What would be a good intake to replace the Spectre that the previous owner had on it

2: With said Exhaust, Headers, and Intake along with pistons and stuff how much all motor HP do you think I'll be getting? (WHP and HP)

Thanks guys!

I'm gonna guess 160-170hp to the crank (motor is 140hp stock). So 130-135whp (dynojet)....until you turbo. I could be off but I don't think I'm that far off.

i would just buy oem stuff (or whatever is cheaper). Just save the money for your turbo kit. You're not going to see a lot of gains that really matter for a b18. tbh, i/h/e on a honda engine usually only net 10-15 hp to the wheels. When you spend $500-$2000 just to get that, it's not worth it. The low compression and massive exhause doesn't suit all motor very well. Typical exhaust for an NA build is around 2.25"-2.5".

I would just make it driveable for as cheap as possible. Maybe you can find a used AEM intake online for $50 or something. DC headers or something else cheap.

I agree. If turbo is next, you're better off finding a used header.....or (if you just want to get new) a PLM header would be fine. I couldn't put that cast iron manifold on but if it was free...maybe.

You have an intake pipe? If so, you could paint it something cool and put a new filter on it.

Yeah the main question was just whats a good intake, thanks to @CAFROG for answering about the hp gains stock as well!

Maybe I was unclear I was just wonderng whats a good brand of intake. Idm spending money since the Turbo may not happen for another year.

yeah, just get a pos stick and cone from ebay for $30... don't waste money on all motor stuff that you will just throw out later

I agree. The hp gain for one intake versus another is minimal. When thinking of cost....just not a good decision. But....a cheap intake pipe and filter would be fine. You might get away with purchasing a velocity stack and filter now (special filter that fits the velocity stack) and be able to use it on the turbo application. But velocity stack/filter combo does take up more room than a basic cone filter.
