I'm in the process of installing a B16 into my 93 eg going from auto to 5 speed. I have searched the Internet and can't find the answer I need. I plan on running a after market header and a test pipe to the oem cat back. I'm wondering what header and test pipe I will need to make it bolt up to my factory cat back.
Thanks in advance for the help..

Soo you can figure out a auto to manual swap and engine swap the car and cant figure out that a test pipe is supposed to bolt up like the factory converter .. Pretty much any aftermarket header bolts in same location as oe , let's see pics of this beast

Wait soo what your saying here is you have a automatic stock eg civic and want to put a header and test pipe on it ...

I thought my question was rather straight forward. From the research I have done I have read that people that install a jdm b16a into a 93 eg coupes have problems when installing an after market header and test pipe. Some say the test pipe is too long or too short to get it connected to the oem honda cat back exhaust system.
I was just wondering if I needed to purchase a certain header/ test pipe.

You have no idea what kind of work I have done as far as swaps and if you have nothing positive to add to this thread then please stop responding.
You sound like a hater...

I already said it was an auto in the first post. How very conclusive of you.
Have friends?

It really should just bolt right up. The folks who have issues are those using gsr headers and cats.

lets see this beast b16 swapped eg :D im just saying you arent going to be able to do a auto to manual conversion and not put 2 and 2 together on a simple header/test pipe install , yes im hating and I am a asshole and ive been guilty of bsing in the past just asking you to be straight up, anyrate yes Brian is right they make them to all bolt up like oe for the most part and pretty much all test pipes car specific also bolt up like oe for the most part

It wasn't and isn't a matter of knowing how to do it. It's a matter of buying the right parts for the conversion the first time around.
I am going to get started on it this weekend and will post up pics as I go. Wish you would have just gave the same answer in the first place.
Thanks

My very first reply stated they all pretty much bolt up like oe, do you even have the b16 and trans yet ? You know you pretty much need a donor car for the 5 speed swap also

Oh yeah I have a full b16 jdm swap.
Pedals etc... you name it I got it ready to go..

Yanked the old engine out today and the engine bay is currently empty.
I found that I had to reuse my used wiring harness on my jdm b16a since the jdm engines wiring harness would not reach the connectors or cooperate. I have 1 green plug left on the harness near the distributor and I just can't find where it goes.
I'll try to post pics later on...

Looks like the d series vtec solenoid had 2 plugs 1 black and 1 green.

The b series has only 1 hence the extra green plug what to do?

Did some research and it turns out that on a jdm engine sometimes there is no vtec pressure switch. Also the jdm ecu does not look for it that's why there is not one on the solenoid. So I am using the usdm harness with just an extra plug now as it turns out.
