i have an h22a vtec in a 92 honda civic hatch and wanna build a g23. ive been doing research on it but cant really find any concrete answers. my questions are:

1) do i need different axles so the f23 block will fit? ( i heard that h22 and f23 are similar in that aspect.)
2) what ecu should i use? ( i have a chipped p28 now)
3) wil the h22a tranny bolt up to the f23 block or should i get a b series tranny

im hoping to run about 10 psi of boost on this build. and get it tuned by slowmotion in march.
if im missing anything important let me know

No you dont,
If you are using a H22 Transmission then use the H22 axles
Use the P28
H22 tranny should bolt up without a problem BUT
I seen people make a beast outta of them with b trannys although the Gears on the 92-95 LSD H22 trannys are shorter than a B16 or type R

You will Also have to plug two oil lines/holes by CC number 1 in order for it to go well.
The Headgasket you need is the F23 Not H22.
You plan on running 10lbs of boost but that isnt the issue, its the power you produce that will decide that because You dont want to over do it and cause a Rod to snap due to too much power.
With Stock Rods dont go over 210. It will be risky and get ACL Rod Bearings.

thanks! ill keep doing my research to ensure that everything goes well

ive hear that G23's arent reliable? is that just due to builder inexperience or is there something legitimate i should look into with this frankenstein

Depends How well you build it.
Some people assemble a motor without the thought of balance and blueprinting the motor.
They push the motor well over what it is capable of. Don't keep up with maintenance. Don't tune right away. so basically if you go the cheap route then yes it isnt reliable; but what is? if thats how you treat your motor

How much does it usually cost to do a G23 vtec build? I have a 95' Civic sedan. Right now it has a D15B7. How much customization will I have to do? Is it hard?
