Nice progress. The accent wall is something we considered doing in the master in our house, but since it was already done, we said screw it and painted the whole master.

Did you paint the ceilings at the same time? I'm surprised at how much of a difference it made in the whole room, like a crazy difference in the light that bounces around, and the feel of the room.

I didn't paint the ceilings except in one room. (the secret room I'm still finishing ) The house is only two years old, so I wanted to freshen up the place and repair some of the walls. They had some gnarly scuffs and a bazillion little nail holes from all the baby pictures they hung up.

So here's a small teaser on what I have been working on.

I assume you now have some things with Andrew Jones' name in your home? I thought about buying a pair of the bookshelves for my desk.

Yup. Pretty amazing speakers. I didn't get the top of the line subwoofer, but the S10 subwoofer test nearly shook my girlfriends shirt off. It was awesome.

box collection?
Museum quality. :p

that's a lot of cat traps
The cats thought they were getting their own Taj Mahal. lol

Also, my truck got fucked up when a trailer I rented from Home Depot came off the trailer hitch and crashed into my tailgate. The claim with Home Depot's insurance has been filed, but they are slow to settle. I'm about to call my insurance company and get them to help. The good news is, I should get a whole new tailgate out of the deal. I can keep this one as a spare or try and sell it. These things are stupid expensive, even with damage.

I had the same thing happen with a Uhall car dolly once.
The Uhall place was adamant that they had to mount the trailer on the hitch. My friend and I both cheched it after the guy put it on, seemed ok. Drove across town to put my car on and while pushing my car on the dolly the mount popped off the ball and did just about that exact damage to my friends brand new Tundra. We stopped back at the place and the guy grabbed some pictures and gave my friend a claim form and number to call.
Uhall took care of it right away. Friend said all in all it was a pretty painless process, hope yours goes the same.

It's been slow so far. 3 weeks and isn't resolved. HD uses a third party agency for insurance and they're trying to pass the buck to the contracted trailer company. I'm going to call my insurance company today and get the process flowing so they can yell at the HD agent. I'm sure uhaul was better because it was their trailer and business. HD just contracts all their hardware and equipment.

I just head down to the local Home Depot and pick up a few Hombre's to help me with stuff like that. Which typically ends up with me sitting with a cold beer in my hand directing.

For some reason your pics are not loading for me.

you can't do that shit here in MA or CT because some SJW would have a fit.

Really? that is frowned upon? To be honest, it does sort of feel like picking up a hooker while they swarm your car and you're seeing who does the best work for the least amount of money per hour.

Looks good. Always feels good to get a project done and be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

I will say I can't imagine living that close to my neighbors. I think I'd go crazy. We're probably 400 feet from the neighbor behind us and I built a little privacy wall around the back patio anyways.
