I have a 89 hatchback with a d16a8. It is not starting. I have put a new battery in and a new distributor. But it is still not starting. What could be the problem. I was told it could be the ecu. But what ecu do i need.

Theres a laundry list of stuff it could be and you posted a very vauge thread... you need air , fuel , spark , and to be in time , which one are you lacking ? Is it turning over ? Does it spark ? Is fuel getting in the cylinders ? Main relay good ? Thermostat and trans ground good ?

It cranks. But no spark. Its getting fuel

was it running and just quit or what? the correct ECU is PM7 - you said you replaced the distributor - did you get the spark plug wires in the correct locations on the distributor? no. 1 is at top, no. 3 is at front toward radiator, no. 4 is at bottom and no. 2 is at rear toward firewall

I took it to a car meet then back home. Then went to take my brother home and it would not start.
