I just bought a Running 87 CRX DX with a 1.5 /standard 5 speed. I got a built B20z2 with a P8r head with Stage 1 Crower Cams in it. I want to put it in my 87 CRX DX .
What do I need to make this Swap A Success.?

very difficult swap just from the fact of the car not being fuel injected, you just need swap mounts, engine/trans, axles, and electronics/fuel, your stock fuel system doesnt support efi and theres no wiring for anything on your engine, welcome to hondaswap post up pics of the ride/swap ! anyrate probablyyy should have done some research before buying the car to put the swap in, the most straightforward swapping those cards is a dual overhead cam d16a1 but you still at the tackle wiring and fuel because your car is carbureted

Wiring is No issue for me what so ever. I got the Complete Engine management wiring harness that come with the engine and p75 ecu chipped as well. My thing is: CV shafts and hubs and knuckles. Fuel delivery will be completely Fabbed up. AN 6 Stainless lines.. BTW. I only paid a $100.00 for the car and it runs..

I have a hard time believing all this but ok, I believe you might have a 1g crx and want to swap it, if you already have all this knowledge then you already know what it takes to put the engine in the car and make it work, post some pics up of this $100 beast I used to have a dohc zc 1g si crx

You'll need to do a dfpi to mpfi conversion
obd0 to obd1 conversion on the car, obd2 to obd1 conversion on the motor.
then, it's the mounts/linkages/etc

lol I bought an 87 DX in shit but running condition for 250 and before that an 85 DX in OK condition for 900. And that was 10 years ago.

nice im not saying you cant buy the cars cheap they are ways $1500 or less even Si model

GREAT MAN!! Woohoo! GO FOR IT..

I picked up a very nice 84 1500s (for its age, and sitting out in the sun) from a bud a few years ago that was sitting in his back yard for 18yrs..
(actually had it running in about 3hrs after going through the weber that was on it) and She's getting a make over..

I've been messing with OLD Hondas for over 40yrs, and picked up some of the old wheel flares/fender flare molds for these ol gals..
Also have tons of old parts and projects that I thought that I'd love to do a Old School build up a carb'd B20 (and wire up the Vtec solenoid to
the carb linkage)

The mounts can be sourced for about 250.00 as with the hybrid axles from Raxles, (but you're gonna need the 1g front hubs (just get the whole front suspension drop out if you can)
And Rywire can help if you wanted all the FI stuff.

Hope to be starting on it in a few months, and have been acquiring parts for years. BUT, got kids graduating and 2 jobs so we'll see how it goes.
Need to sell my 88 HF to help pay for the make over though.

So, if you want to go for it, DO IT. just don't piss around if you don't have any money.. Ya gotta PAY TO PLAY.
Back in the day, I had time but no money. Now I have the money but no time. You can still keep a project alive if you have the funds, but if you don't, you start cutting corners and end up with crap that NO ONE will give you a 1/4 of what you got in it.. (like CLEANING/PAINTING THE BAY while you have everything out)
