Lately I've been listening to a lot of Vince Staples and Earl Sweatshirt. When it comes to rap I favor good flow, lyrical content, and production over raw "speed" and technique.

Went to a concert Tuesday night, TesseracT (Progressive Metal) and Gojira (Progressive Death Metal) TesseracT is much more technical and groovy whereas Gojira is more unbridled brutality. Samples from both for your listening pleasure. I was in the pit 3 or so rows from the front with my band's drummer and his wife.

If you're not tired of either of these songs yet, these covers are pretty awesome. I'll throw in a 3rd cover too...not the dude's best work, but the video is amusing.

OK this is kind of interesting

http://youarelisteningtolosangeles.com/

its police/fire scanner feeds overlaid with random ambient electronic music

it gets kind of eerie sometimes

currently listening to the Chicago feed
was listening to the JFK and LAX feeds earlier, both of those were pretty cool

its not exactly something to party or drive to, but for background sound it works really well

mostly I'm putting this here so i can find it again

So I went to make dinner and this was on Sirius, a few hours later I went to do dishes and this had come on again. I was singing this at the top of my lungs while scrubbing pans.

I cannot get enough of Avatar.
