This year is my 20th for high school.
I skipped out on the 10 for a car/truck show get away weekend.
Debating the 20. Sounds horribly awkward, but then again I'm not that much of a people person.

Social media pretty much eliminated the need for reunions. The whole point of a "reunion" is to "reunite" with people you haven't seen in 20 years.

I went to my 10, i'll go to my 20 (next yet). No real reason not to. Go, have a beer, say hi, head home. Don't feel obligated to stay for 8 hours.

Also, even though you might not want to see people, there's people who want to see you. At my 10 year we asked about a handful of people who weren't there and they just didn't show up. They weren't doing shit and just didn't go. Would have been good to catch up with them.

I skipped my 10 for high school. My brother-in-law was in my class. Said I didn't miss anything.

I think if I want to keep in touch, I will. I still have friends from high school I talk to often. Others I literally haven't seen since graduation. Same with college. I talk to some people every day, but I would skip homecoming weekend and an annual reunion at a beach bar every summer.

my 10 year reunion was on my birthday. it was nice to see some people and we had a fucking excellent time. can't wait for the 20.

My 10 year was a ton of fun. Had 10 people over the house for after-hours and hung out until like 4am.
20 year is this year. will attend.

it's nice to catch up with acquaintances. I had a lot of these... i was 'cool' with just about everyone in high school. so i haven't really kept up with any of them or hung out, but it's cool to see them again and shoot the breeze about that funny thing that happened gym class... or whatever.

It's also a pretty good ego booster.... you see the hot girls i never had a chance with that are all busted now. you see the cool dudes all bald and working shit jobs. the ugly girls that got hot. and the weird ass who, instead of burning the place down, became hugely successful and has an entourage, or whatever. that's what's fun about it i think.

I have no interest in going to mine, I don't even know when it is or if they are having one. I didn't go to my 10 year either, and never felt as though I missed anything.

I'm with B. Unless your high school was an elite college prep school full of superstars, then most likely it will be an ego booster assuming you've achieved some modicum of success in your life. That's how my 10th was...found out that a lot of people stayed in that same small town and didn't do much, and it was fun to catch up with everyone. Will probably go to my 20th in 2021.

Never been. Those I want to talk to I still do. Otherwise I already know what everyone is doing thanks to facebook. lol

This...on so many levels.

I was the "dummy who went in the military and wasted my good GPA and sports experience". Could have probably played D-II basketball or football if I had the size for it, but I was a late bloomer. We had a couple guys go D-III football, but never got on the field nor did anything afterwards. I won a semi-pro football national championship and now I work at Google. I know for a fact that at least 10/12 honor grads don't make 1/2 of what I make in total income, if not all 12. I won't go back to brag or show off, but if feels good to have all my hair, sports accomplishments, and a great job.

Even without all that, I would still go if not to just catch up with a few friends who came from farther away that I haven't seen in forever.

I mostly rock the safari hat at autocross lol but I’ve retired my fedoras.

Its 6/23 at the golf course by your mom's house :)

Not going BTW -- too formal!

Her old house, she downsized. If I was interested I wouldn't go anyways with having a couple week old baby.
