I'm looking for my first car and I was deadset on getting a mkiii Supra Turbo (with targa, of course) but my parents are now saying that it will cost too much to insure a turbo car (even if it is under my dad's name) and are saying to find a different car. Now the 3 diferent different cars that i'm looking into are the 91+ s13s, s14s and the non-turbo supra. what would you choose and why?

even an N/A supra will cost a dick load if you're 16.

the s13 will probably be the cheapest.
the s14 next, then the mr2 n/a (worthless car) then the supra N/a, then the mr2 turbo (bad ass, but costly), then the supra turbo...

thats my guess anyway.

there's a reason why kids get hondas... they are cheap, reliable, and don't cost a dick load to insure.

yea...dont get a RWD turbo for a first car IMO, especially now that its snowing
i vote civic, but if not get the S13, pretty stable for a RWD if driven sanely
if you get a MR2 for the love of god get a 93+, rear suspension got changed to be more stable

I should also mention that I have 3k to spend. Will it also cost a shitload even if it is under my dad's name?

If you have 3k id reccomend finding a early 90's hatch, it will get kickass mpg, cheap insurance and you can swap it later when you have the cash.

what is a JZA80? also what would (all of) you pick out of the 3?

my opinion...s13 and save up until the summer for a swap. Id love to have one to use has my everyday car (to work on the hatch).

thats an MKIV supra 1993 - 1998

the MKIII code was something weird

out of the 3 which is fastest in the quarter? which has best handling? 0-60? Lightest?

what's funny is I find at least 2-3 a week in good condition for 200-2500 so I'm not sure what ure talking about

MA70 is the MKIII

i thought it was the JZA70?? i dunno

either way, the older pre 93 models do go for about that much, depending on condition/such.
but, insurance will suck y0

like they said, aim low dude, just get something reliable and not RWD
