im building an ls/vtec but at firs ti was going to boost but now i was thinkg b/c i got a si tranny that its not to good for boost so i might go all motor but i want to know has anyone seen any fast all motor ls/vtecs or know if they can be fast with type-r oil pump gsr cams and gears and gsr valve springs and retainer with dc 4-1 header apexi n-1 catback and gsr distributor jdm hydro Si b16 tranny and b16 head dohc vtec si with a type-r intake manifold and ls block with ls vtec conversion by golden eagle and 11.1 compression pistons? do you think this can give me a car in the low 13's or high 12's ?

well yeah an Ls/Vtec N/A can be fast....If you build it right, with the proper parts it would deffinatly rip...especialy in a hatch.

There are a lot of LS/VTEC that tear shit up, both at Auto-x Crosses and at the drag strip. My roommates boosted Miata got torn up by an N/A Ls/VTEC in a hatch, at an Auto-x, and it was not a matter of my roommates driving ability, it was a matter of he was out powered. If you bore the LS bottom end out to 84.5mm you have basicly a B20 bottom end, and then you have the displacement for getting above 200hp, quite easily.

hello everyone i just got ls/vtec done on my 91 ls crx hf is not bad its allways been fast i had a pre and a post dyno done my results stock ls b18a1 115whp
post dyno lsvtec 151whp pretty good for stock huh yea i think ls/vtec is a good investment i have a b16a1 head on a ls bottom gsr cams are good for it too

It's gotta be sleeved to be bored to 84.5mm...

um why would you skip boost. the money it takes to make an na car fast is rediculas. we may have difrent opinions on fast, but a car withought atleast 280 350 hp is not going to be fast. i know hp is not speed but it has alot to do with it. your tranny is not going to be bad for boost. and for the price of ls vtack is a waste imo because you can build a non vtak head to flow as good or beter than a vtakc. but since you are already doing it id def go with boost

I personally run 417 hp in a eg with a b16 tranny, it makes it fun you really gotta work the gas when your spinnin tires to 100+ or for that matter at 100+ roll. ne way what im getting at is, GOOD TIRES are your friend!!!!
