I'm building up my 01 b18b. it has 70k on the engine. I do not want to go Vtec. I am planning on putting in jdm p30 pistons, crower valve train and crower 403 cams. Someone suggested That for a street driven car the best thing i could do would be to get a good valve job and mill the head. My question is how much do each of these cost? And where can i get it done? Also what is the difference between milling, porting, and honing? does one offer more than the other?

LS heads flow like shit. my advice would be to send it off to portflow or something similar if you want some more power potential. they will completely take it apart, clean and inspect everything, port it, do a valve job, and reassemble everything (correctly), and ship it back to you. just my .02

I agree...if you really want to stay with that head..get it done right or you are pretty much wasting your time with aftermarket parts until you open that thing up to get more air flow
