so what can you guys tell me about the 06 civic si ? been thinking of trading my old civic.

I look at them when I was car shopping, over all I dont think its anything speical, on top of that tack on a 2500-3500 dealer charge for it being a "hot" item.

I laughed at the sales guy when he told me the REAL price of the SI.
oh well all dealers are adding that fee.... yeah well I'd rather buy an Acura. see ya! lol

dickheads.


IMO waste of money. wait a year.

So were the ones here. did you talk to a sales person? they slip in the mark up after they get you into waiting the car.

I went from the show room floor looking at the S2000 outside to the Civic SI and said well that prices isnt tooooooo bad (21K) he then told me well you see this thing over here? that's added on top of that.

pretty much the car would have been like 26-27K OTD
 
P.S for close to the same OTD price of the Civic SI you could sport a non nav, Acura TSX. 205hp and loaded out the butt.
 
thats how they all are. once you talk to them they a bunch of crap you've never heard. By the time there dont its almost 10k from the origional price. Heres the funny thing. Its when they come back from ''discussing'' with theor sales manager about you being able to afford it with your down payment. They come back and ask you," is there anyway you can put more money down?" I remember those days at the dealership with my dad. He was like its a 10k car and i'm giving you 2k down. What the hell more do you want my blood? and he walked out. I just looked back at the young salesman and laughed.

That why i would rather spend 2k on a old car and spend the money to keep it clean and fast. I've got a nice crx with good gas mileage that could easily be in the 13's for about 4500 bucks. ohh and with A/C. :p
 
Once again it's all about having money in hand before you go in.
Always keep the ball in your court and the sales people cant do crap but drop the prices to move the car. If its the SI and they can't lower the price at all, laugh and tell them you'll buy one next year from another dealership for 5K under sticker. =)

I still can't believe the first 350Z went for around $80K

talk about a bidding war. damn

back to topic. you actually like the civics? i mean i like the front but the back just looks funky. I could tell they still had the TL and TSX in ming when they built the front end. I dont like'em.
