Will a EK center console Fit in a EG?

I came from a Del Sol, into a EG hatch, im use to having a place to rest my arm on the center console while im just cursing, But I notice in my friends EK, they have a place where you can rest your arm, and to toss junk into, just like the del sol. And it looks like they are pretty much the same, the e-brake doesnt look any differnt, I mesured from the shift boot opening to the ebrake, and they where the same lengths. Looks like the EK consol is longer in the back for the arm rest, the Only problem that I see is it matching up to the old EG dash, has anyone ever or herd of this being done, I dont want to change dash's or even put out the money to get one. plus the cup holders are better in the EK than the EG =)


EDIT: I was just looking around and found that the EG did come with the arm rest, but im still wondering is the EK will still fit, snice they have better cup holders.

Well not well enought since it took about 5mins to find that link.

The cupholder might be better but:
1. It fits like shit in the 5th gen civic
2. Finding the 96-00 cupholder console might be EASIER to find, but finding the 96-00 armrest will be just as hard as finding the 92-95 armrest.
