I have no other method to contact everyone at this time other than a bulletin... so if you have HS friends who aren't on my buddy list, please be sure to let them know what's up.
As you are probably aware, the server is down, again. Their website says that they lost an entire data center, and our server just so happens to be in it. So sad. I submitted my cancelation of the server tonight. Had nothing but problems with LayeredTech. I just bought a new server through SoftLayer, and well, i sprung for an even better box even though the current one was more than enough.
We'll be back on a Quad processor machine, Dual (dual chip/dual core) 2.0 Opteron 270 cpu's. Our old box was a dual chip/single core 2.0 Opteron 245. The old old server was a dual chip single core xeon 2.8. If you're at all familiar with Intel vs AMD, you'll know that AMD's speeds are rated much lower than a comparable Intel. This one is more money, but I hope it will be better. They seem to have rave reviews. Hell, the sales guy called me to confrim my order before I even got to the "print your reciept" page. lol
So, we should be moving this weekend... again... provided our old server ever comes back up.
I apologize for the downtime, but it's completely out of my hands.
