hey everyone..... looking for info on swapping a b16b vtec into a honda crx 1988... any help info would be appreciated:)
 
a ctr is obd2, there are a few sensors that are not on your original harness, so it takes a bit of wiring.
 
easiest way:
conert both the car and the motor to obd1
 
distributor, its hs.com slang. most of my friends dont know what it means either.
 
ok...went to the source of honda...its a honda crx dx with a D15b2 L3 tranny...couple of ??? 1. if i use a b16a1 with a comprable tranny will it fit in the crx....2. what tranny is compatable as a L3 and 3. how do you remove a 120 mph limiter in a car
 
1, yes it will fit
hasport.com for mounts and installation instructions...
2, a cable B series trans, found on imported motors, or 2nd gen integras

3, computer work removes the limit
 
the question is not whether it will fit, the question is, how comfortable are you with rewiring your engine bay.
 
thank you for the info....i am going to assume then that the best way to go is use the b16a series... the swap package i am looking for has to have a 5 speed trans ...any suggestions on where to "shop" for... best prices i guess with best warranty
 
hmotorsonline is the place to go. most of us that have swapped got our motors from steve, and in the end, best customer service and quality of product. if that means i have to pay 100ish more dollars for a quality product, then i will.
 
what the F#ck it's not that hard just cus the b16b has diff and extra sensor' dont mean sh#t you can wire it just as easy. look bro convert obd1 just get the wiring kit from HONDATA.COM it's no biggie
