You sure youre not talking about the FITV. That will cause that problem...usually it fixes itself after the engine warms up. The IACV has coolant that passes through it, and sometimes it gets clogged. If you clean that out with some carb cleaner, it usually helps.

ok i know what the iacv is i took it off and it wasnt plugged up i also read somewhere that the hole in the bottom of my throttle body shouldnt be sucking air but mine is. what would cause that and isnt the fitv the thing that has 2 screws on top and the thing that you screw down like the plungger or something

or maybe i have them 2 things backwards and i dont know what im doing my car also burns really rich it smells like lighter fluid when i get on it that dont bother me its just the rough idling when i start it up

sounds as if your fuel pressure is too high

do you have an adjustable FPR??

no its just stock the only thing ive done is put the new air intake and a 2 1/2inch exhaust from the down pipe into a dynamax muffler

no that wouldnt cause it to run rough when starting.. but that explains the gas smell. .. is it rough all the time or just when you start it.. it may just be your fuel filter

mainly rough when i first start it up like it wants to die then i rev it up a little bit and idles fine i figured the cat was my smell just thought maybe it had to do with idling to if its the eacv i dont wanna just guess at cuz i priced a new one and like 200 sum dollars.. sometimes the cel comes on and i check whicj code it is it comes up code 14 is there a way to bye pass that thing or a way to check it out

make sure the plugs are plugged in good.. check the wires also, make sure there isn't any loose.. thats the only reason i would think it would throw a CEL sometimes
