I've been searching the web looking for an affordable used luxury/nicer car, and could use any info/opinions you guys/girls have about the following cars that I'm considering. All of the cars that are listed can be had for under, or around the low 20k mark. Also, if you have any other suggestions, please list them and explain why you would choose that car.

2003-2005 Infinity G35 sedan
2003-2005 Honda Accord Coupe/Sedan
2004-2005 Acura TSX
1996-2003 Acura TL
1995-2004 Toyota Avalon
1998-2000 Lexus GS300/400
1997-2001 Lexus ES300
2002-2003 Lexus ES330

I know some of the cars listed have a very broad range of years, so if someone could tell me which years are best, I would really appreciate it. Please don't say get a G35 coupe, because they really can't be had for less than 25k anywhere.

TIA for all replies.

Don't you make one of these threads like every other week?

Buy a Honda or Acura. If you're down on G35 coupes cause they're over 25k you're going to punch yourself in the throat when you have to fix anything on an Infiniti or Lexus.

Well not every other week, but I get what you're saying. My choices on cars change so much, and new cars at lower prices also change the choices I have also.

At first I wanted to go performance, but decided that was a bad way to do for a dd. I'm just trying to get the most first-hand knowledge I can so it can help me to make a better decision.

As I'm getting a little more mature, and reading up on more things, I've decided that a reliable car that also offers some luxury is the best way to go for long term.

Any of those lux brand cars will have the same problems with $$$ on the repairs.

TSX is mid 20s very rare to see one in the low 20s unless its 60K+ miles and from a private party. TLs are in the 25-30K range used. G35s can be found for low 20s but that's with a auto... f that.

If you cant spend over 25k I would look for a used low miles IS300. Or maybe look into an Audi A4 just make sure (as with BMW) it has a warranty.

You're right about the tsx's. The tl's I am talking about are the generation before the new body tl's were released.

What are your opinions on the new accords? IS300's are a pretty good idea as well, I was actually looking at some of those. Would cl's be something worth looking into?

Affordable, low mileage, german luxury vehicles are really rare in my area as far as I know, but I will look into that as well.

Thanks for the help.

As car as Acura goes I dont like anything before 2004.

the new 2004+ TL TSX and RL all rock.

TSX is kinda low on the power but the over all feel of the car is great.

My dad has a 95 Avalon with 450,000+ miles barely did timing belt in the high 300's and he has a 2004 Avalon now as well. Very solid car they took the head off to look at the 95 and said it looked like he had under 150k miles on it. All he has done is oil changes and he runs Power Up in his oil... But as for looks the tsx or the bigger TL are sex... and quick 2...

My mom's tsx is cool, but i like the old h22 prelude better. Her boyfriends old TL was SUPER cool and i liked it more than the prelude. His RL......well, yeah, it fuckin rocks. Its faster than my car, handles better, and its a rich mans play toy.

A TSX is cool, but it feels like an accord to me.
