ALL the work was done by him and its perfect, i know for a fact. and he takes care of this thing like no one i know.

he wants to sell it because he is getting another bike and he built this car with a close friend that fucked him over. so he doesnt feel for the car like he did. he also told me that he only wants someone that he knows to own it because he is afraid of someone mistreating it.


here is the deal though...

he wants my 99 stock HB and 3k:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

i would sell the rex with a tranny and put the lsv in the eg and keep the b16 as a spare...


what do you guys think???

Why would you want a car that someone else already built?


That, and EK hatchies are teh secks. C'mon JP, put the $3k towards a swap for your hatch.

true but at the same time, he's taking the hit and not you. Modding a car = spending way to much on parts to sell it for a third the price you had in it.

so that kinda entitles me to voicing my opinion, doesn't it?
 
Tell him your car for his car, and he keeps the b16.. (but you keep the lsd trans) if you are seriously thinking about this trade.

Also, realize that his car is worth about 4.5-5k.. so with the original trade, he is asking too much $$$.
 
i went to the dealership he works at and took some pics of the outside ( he left his keys in the garage)

i told him that i was still thinking about it and if i was to offer him cash. how much did he want. he said 6k....

the 3k is out of the question
and the reason i would by this car is because his work is factory like and the engine was built by him with all oem internals and lubricants. and i dont have the time to swap the lsv into the ek, then the obd conversion, the hydro to cable conv,the tuning.

i would rather have a 99 than my 95 but give him like 1500 instead, 3k is too much.

how much is fair? 2? 2.5? 1?
 
i think you have something in your eye....

the only things i would change would be the side mirrors, the color of the fog housing and i would eliminate the fart can for some inline mufflers, and i would re-apolster the interior black
 
it all depends on what your ek looks like, if its stock and crappy then sure i would go for it but i wouldnt pay anymore than 1500 or even 1k on top of the ek. 6k for that please!!! im in orlando and my friend sold his clean eg with a lsvtec putting 195whp for 5500 and it had a ton parts on it.
 
okay,

i just went to the kbb and the car stock is worth 2.5k so he is adding 3.5k for everything that it has. would 5k be more reasonable or nothing over 4k.


the color of the car is dark blue not green, and the rims are darker in person...the colors look like that because of the glare. but i do see you guys points.
 
I think the car looks great and its normally not my style.

3k on top is far too much. 1.5k-2k would be reasonable.


...and him not losing money is unreasonable. You don't mod a car and expect to get the same money back out of the car, thats insanity. That car would sell for $4500 all day long on honda-tech or a bigger honda site.
