Win the Day

Sorry I just love those new Ducks Uniforms. They're working on a yellow helmut for the one on the right

I have a few thoughts on the new season.

How did Notre Dame and Texas get ranked so high? Didn't Notre Dame get whooped by Ohio St during there bowl game? The only standout they have is their QB... And Texas, they would have lost 2 games in the regular season last year if it wasn't for Vince Young, and he's gone....

It's nice to see continued support for a tournament, Sportscenter talks about how we need one every day now it seems, even Coach Hart of Michigan has come on board.

And lastly

Why does Sausage on a bun taste twice as good between Sept and Jan? :)

UT's talent roster is a LOT deeper than just Vince Young.

they also lost ramonce taylor. they have a phenominal defense though. top 10 IMO.

Notre dame also has a great defense. plus they have one of the best receivers in college football right now.

No they have one really good reciever, he isn't Heisman material, far from it, but he's from Notre Dame where you only have to be a B- to be known as an A+. Notre Dame's defense isn't great either. Ohio state put 600+ yards on them by passing, but they can stop the run which led to some success agianst USC last year

He will easily be in the top 5 receivers. he had 77 catches and 15 tds last year. he is going to put up good numbers again because he has a qb that will pass for 4,000 yards. he might not be the next steve largent (has to be compared to a white guy of course) but he is a good receiver.

he will have a good year, and Texas will be good as well but this is a Vacuum year. Both the most dominant team in recent history and the national champs experienced major setbacks offseason and it literally anyone's to take. I'm just sick of seing people penciil in UT and ND as going undefeated when realistically they are the two most overrated teams this year (with USC ranking 3rd as most overrated).

I'm predicting Ohio St, Auburn, or Louisville as national champs this year. I want to say Oregon (and always do cause they're my team) but realitically unless they are undefeated they won't even be allowed to play for it (see Joey Harrington's Senior year)

It sucks for pac 10 bullshit. Oregon state would have been in the title game a couple years back if they didn't miss a short field goal against UW. but they got some shitty bowl because of 1 loss. Pac 10 doesn't get any respect because they aren't on the east coast where all the writers are. it doesn't help oregon got beat by oklahoma last year.

It's amazing how a bowl loss can effect a team.

Oregon throws an untimly pic in the redzone after martching an entire field during a strong 2 min drive for the comeback win and they go from 5th in the nation at the end of the season to 20th during the preseason.

ND gets SPANKED by Ohio State who exposes how weak their pass defense is and they go from like 6th/7th in the nation to 2nd in the preseason poll.
