Pluto loses status as a planet

Pluto's status has been contested for many years

Astronomers have voted to strip Pluto of its status as a planet.
About 2,500 scientists meeting in Prague have adopted historic new guidelines that see the small, distant world demoted to a secondary category.
The researchers said Pluto failed to dominate its orbit around the Sun in the same way as the other planets.

I'm sure they'll change there mind agian in another 5 years, these are the same people (scientists) who keep going back and forth on the tomato...

EXACTLY!...our kids are gonna be doin those solar system projects in school with the styrofoam balls...and its gonna be lacking pluto...wtf!...lol
 
There's basically another asteroid belt out around the Pluto region, and Pluto is just one body within that belt. We're going to see a ton of new objects identified out there within the next few years. Pluto isn't even the largest one.
