hey guys....back again with another ?.... changed mind on motor size for the honda 88 crx...going with a zc1.6 dohc 16v with a manual tranny...what tires are the best size and weight for the car and engine...and maybe the best manufacturers of siad tires and cheapest place to find them..thanks in advance....jen:)

205/50/15 is my favorite tire size on hondas.

type and brand.... well, what do you use the car for? daily driver? autox? drag?

Get the Bridgestone Potenza S-03s from TireRack.com. They're on closeout right now, and 195/50/15 sizes are dirt cheap- like $70 each. 205/50 is going to be a little too tall for your transmission setup. The 195/50 is the correct size.

ok..so here what is up....i live in western pa...snow and all that crap....i am also looking for wheels and rim sizes....i don't want anything that will snap the spindles, axles, and over tax the brakes...and i would prefer no tire rub...(i have the tendency to drive a little FAST)....thanx in advance ......jen P.S. the help thus far has been GREAT....

if you are looking for an all season tire then get the Dunlop SP 5000
they have em at TireRack.com
i ran those on my MX3 and i must say they are the best all season i have ever ran
they were very good in the dry, very good in the rain (90mph in the rain no hydro planeing) and i had no problems what-so-ever in the snow... i was pushing my way through 10 inches of fresh snow one night when we were all out fuckin around
never got stuck aside from the time i went to slide around a corner, hit ice, and ended up 3 feet into a snow bank on some guys front lawn... and even then after a little digging and pushng from friends i got it out and continued on with the night

they are a bit spendy ($90ish)... but i would run them again in a second on any car i was going to put all seasons on

how are 205/50s any taller than 195/50s... just wider..

i say 205/50/15s FTW!!

"50" is aspect ratio, or a percentage of the width of the tire.

a 205/50 is both wider AND taller than a 195/50

never really noticed they were taller.. my girl has the 205/50s on here car and i thought they looked the same just wider..
