As some of you might know, i was debating getting an EG by trading my stock ek+3k. well i decided against it and chose to try & invest under $1.5k on my hatch.

OBD1chipped ecu & OBD2b>OBD1 jumper harness $263.00

1999 civic si AC/PS & T bracket. $70

81.5mm cometic lsvtec HG $50

so far ive spent $939.94 and i dont think i need anything else other than the linkage

what do you guys think
and i am installing the wet n2o kit from cold fusion

the only thing that i'm not sure of is if the axles will fit on the dx hb spindles... but i think the only thing that changes is the half shaft not the ends

i am going to keep this thread updated, unfortunately i dont have time to do this swap myself so my friend anthony (the guy that is selling the EG i wanted) is going to do most of the work and ill help if i can

looks good man. whats that mount replacement thing? Is that bracket the one that goes to to your car? If so then damn i might be able to do the same to my rex. down the line of course. Good luck Formby

its for replacing the jell filled oem EK mount... youre getting the mounts you need from me...in exchange for that block DONT FORGET. i have sweet plans for that block, and the rods you sold me are part of it

i know that. I meant for the blue crx. you mounts are going on the rex one. the one that hasnt been hacked. I might take a trip to orlando sat morning to take you that block if your up for it.

is the passenger side on the ek damaged or is it just the picture?

will i be able to use the OBD0 alternator / starter by just re wiring it?
or do i have to buy a new one?

i think you have to get a new one man. I dont think....wait the motor is what? obd0 right? as long as the alt. isnt obd2 you should be fine. you can keep your alternator if your going obd1

well the civic is obd2b and the alternator and starter are ODB0

are you sure they are compatable? because from obd2 >obd1 you have to change the wiring

you going obd1 arent you? If not then no you cant use obd0 or obd1 on a obd2 car.

i emailed rywire and asked them if they would make a jumper harness...i'm wating

well it can be done but its easier to get an alternator...duh
and i got one free [maybe]

recieved everything exept the belt mount... as far as the rear mount and the front bottom mount on the ac bracket. ill be filling them with polyurathane from HD...

i might remove the lvs tonight by lifting the rex and sliding it out

thats only if i cant get the picker and two more jacks

today i prept everything, i cant remove the engine and tranny, because i could not get a hoist and i did not want to attempt to lift the crx over the engine all alone, and its so humid. by next weekend i hope to have the engine out.

i tested the obd1 ecu and it worked fine, the launch control is neat.i cant wait until its the lsv reving

i attached some pics of the current garage view and a shot of the shocks and the front ls spindles with the extended studs

well today was a good day....

i recieved a postcard from fedex saying that they found the pckg; so i dont have to buy a Tbracket.
however
now i have to sell the ebay ac bracket and not get even .3 of what i originaly paid... such is life

i picked up the hoist fucking 30min away from anthony which is 15 from my house. the house i went to was huge (2,200sq') 2 story. but the guy is just a butcher for publix. go figure... i think the fact that his brother and family live with him has something to do with it.

tommorrow anthony and i will remove the engine, if he doesnt front. now that i have a hoist i'll do it alone if he doesnt show... and i dont get lazy

Looking good.
Are you pulling the motor out the top or dropping it out the bottom?
I found it easier to drop the motor and hoist up the car(via chain wrapped around crossmember-see my engineswap thread pg.4) I did it by myself in less than 1 hr. thats including removing the axles and some other things up top.

its coming out the top. i dont feel comfortable lifting the car that far up. and it should be done before i get home from work tommorrow. so he said..

he fronted today, which is okay because i did not feel like doing shit today.... but its getting old

well... I wasn't really comfortable either especially since I was by myself, but believe me when I say it was easier.

however, do what you want, especially if your confident you can.
