its your intake dude. pull it off, and go for a ride, i bet its gone. yoru couplers are leaking or the filter sucks..

Ya it is a POS filter... but thats not the prb.. already tried taking it off... im thinking its actually the skunk 2 intake manifold when it opens to let air in... at a certain throttle it makes a noise any idea how to fix it?? And i didnt have the skunk 2 intake mani on my old engine...

are we supposed to be listening to the whistling sound from you intake, if not i dont hear a damn thing.. tighten up the whole intake.. if it was anything with the intake manifold the RPMs would most likely be surging

It makes the same noise without the air intake hooked up...

Ya its definately in the skunk 2 intake mani and its prb the throttle body gasket like u said... Hmmm and also noticing my timing is off, and im thinking because of the engine build up and prb will have to get some different cams r something... I just love tracing problems... :-(

i'd remove the intake and open the butterfly with your finger to whatever throttle angle the noise occurs at, or open it all the way
look for any drastic "edge" that would make the noise when air flows over it at that throttle angle

i'd bet its right where the throttle body bolts to the IM

I didnt find any sharp edges...

bend what back?
lol

i'm thinking more along the lines of grinding the edges... you have to look and see if you can identify a trouble area

does the car idle ok?
did you replace the TB gasket when you switched to the skunk2 IM?

going to replace tb gasket and c if it worx.. thanx

Would u recommend replacing both gaskets?

9 yes... 15 not really...

do you have a stethescope? or do you know how to use an extension or broom handle as such?

you could have someone hold the idle at the noise maker level and then try and hear where its coming from...

A broom will open to much and the sound will go away... ive alrdy played around a bit with it... And its harder to get it to do it when the car is parked... when driving its alot easier to produce the sound...
