Hey guys yep I'm a noob posting a noobish question...

Like it says I've got an OBD2 B16a2 I'm trying to get ready to go into my 92 eg si...

So far I have eng/trans, complete obd2 wiring harness, ecu, shift linkage, gsr axles....


From what I understand I need mounts from a 3 gen teg being rear tranny, front tranny, and upper timing cover mount. As well as a mount from a del sol with a b16 for the AC compressor, and I maintain my D series TOP tranny mount...j

with this being correct, my questions lie in this:

1. Who is a reputable company to chip my P28 with out going to technical with chrom uberdata turboedit or hondata.... as of right now I just want a chip and socket installed pre programmed, I'll do the custom tuning later trust me...

2. I understand I can maintain my factory sohc vtec obd1 wiring harness, but exactly what mods will I have to make to it, keep in mind I have both obd2 and obd 1 harnesses. Fuel injectors,, dizzy , Iacv , knock sensor etc... and anything I'm missing...

3. Any in depth pics from similar rides with similar setups obd2-obd1 conversions etc... and obviously some clear pin outs would be highly appreciated...

ya i have the same problem i need to no what i have to do ifyou have found them out could you let me no i got a 92 and a b16a2 motor odb2b from a 2000 si i wanna konw how to use my stock harness

You can ship your ECU to Hondata and they will do it for a decent price. They are really nice guys and easy to work with. I know you said you didn't want to use them but they are a good company with a great rep. As far as I know you can use the mounts from the motor. I have a B16 in my Civic and I used the mounts from it. Bolted right in. You will have to wire Knock but other than that I don't know cause my motor is OBDI. I am pretty sure though that your new motor will have 2 O2 sensors and your car only has one. You will need to wire that up. Someone needs to verify that for me though cause I am not sure about it. Hope this helps you get on your way.
 
Allright guys thanx for the replies, well uh after the swap was done. So those of you who may not know, or what have you. Officially mount wise you'll need the mount from a 92 civic top tranny mount, all other mounts would come from a 94-00 integra,... front tranny, rear tranny/engine, top timing belt side, a/c mount from 94-97 del sol all rubber under frame mount maintain from your car.

ECU wise a friend of mine founded the website PGMFI.ORG, and actually soldered in a DIP socket, that excepts a ZIF socket as well, burnt a chip for me for a slightly modded B16, in turn which he elliminated the knock sensor and 02 sensor wiring had to be lenghtened. Any whose if you have have a JDM SIR2 then just use your mounts you'll just need the A/C from the Del Sol.

I actually changed the connections from the fuel injectors to OBD2 being saturated injectors, also alternator plug.

If anyone needs help with a swap just like this post up since there's really not a thread on this.....:ph34r:
