Mhmm....

dont forget the full auto/manny change over to go with that H22.

earily 90s ludes can be found pretty cheap. just keep your eyes open.

that is wrong...i paid 3k for mine.

yea... 3000 is probably actually closer to the lower end for 92ish Si's (that run)... at least on autotrader...

i sense scam, totaled/salvage title, or typo.

^ Yeah. I wonder why he wouldn't put that first since he didn't put any pictures up of the empty engine bay.

it's probably blown, not empty. plus, when i put cars on autotrader i seldom put pics of the engine on there anyways. if it's swapped, i'll just add that. if it's stock, people assume it's stock.

the short and end of it is that the good ol' 'rents more or less won't allow me to buy a car (and have the title in my own name)... much less one that would need any work...

so, buying a 4th gen prelude is near the top of the list to do when i turn 18 a couple months from now

just pay for it if you have the money. nobody can stop you from buying it.

If you paid for it out of your own pocket then they should lighten up a bit, unless you're in debt and they're like that to try to proteect you from yourself.

anywho, what difference does it make when you turn 18? your parents will be the same. are you moving out?

well, if you really want it, buy it, then tell them. they can't do much. they can't sell it if they don't own it. but then again, i'm 26 and can't say what they would do.

yea... they'd take my liscense... i think that more or less puts buying it before i turn 18 out of the question...

so what happens after you're 18?

btw my mom always said you can't buy a bike unless you have your own place. I told her too bad, it's already in the garage. shall I move out?

lol she said no... be safe...

ditto...my mom got all pissy when i bought my prelude and changed the engine in it...she thought it was a waste of money. it probably was, but it was a leearning experience and i wouldnt change a thing.

if youve saved the cash to buy a car on your own, youre a lot further than most 17 year olds. If you give a rational well thought out arguement (not tantrum) i have a feeling your parents' objections will fade.

well... i have saved more money than i would actually need anyway... (altho i'd like to spend some of it on college)... and yes i have given them a rational arguement for it... but it doesn't really matter when they are already prejudiced against it because of sterotypes...

and the do it and then tell them later... mebe it worked for your parents but i doubt it would work for mine...

but what they heck.... i'll be 18 soon enough...
