100% stock GSR...
i just bought a 1994 stock GSR..i know the stats say that the car does 15.5..but thats with a really good driver and all...i did 16.303 with a .786 RT...i was a little dissapointed with the time..but people were saying that my car was running good..i just need to work on my RT...what do you think?

about 86mph 2dr 5 speed....yokahama tires...i still think the car has more in her...i guess i got lucky buying this car...like i said its 100% stock...obd1 gsr...it doesnt even had a intake...but thats all goign to change soon...

Yeah don't sweat it. I have a stock 1994 4 door GSR too, ran her with 173k miles on her, got a 15.438, trapped at 89mph, with a reaction time of .374. It just takes practice. Oh, I was on some OK Kumho Ecsta all seasons lol. BTW, what were you launching at?

.....i thought GSRs were faster than preludes

at about 4000rpm....it spins alot though...your 4dr isnt stock running 15.4 or whatever you were running...there were guys there with 2dr gsr's running 15.5 with a whole bunch of shit..when i mean stock for my car im talking about the car hasent changed at all since it was bought in 1994...no coilovers no intake no hedders nothing no ECU nothing!!!! 100%stock!!!!! im not doubting that your 4dr did 15.4 i just find it hard to believe that its doing it stock...all i have to do is lower my RT and im in the 15's easily...lower it to .400 and im good...that was only the first time i took it to the track...but sht isnt goign to be stock for long...

lol, i'm serious! it's all stock! I launched at around 5000-5500rpm and just feathered it, so when my tires hooked up, i was entering vtec so I think that helped. Maybe you can compare the r/t, 60' etc?

I'm guessing maybe tires helped? Oh, I had around 1/4 tank and I weigh 140...so I'm guessing the car was probably around 2900lbs or so? I dunno, I'm kinda new to this lol. I'm just saying that it's very possible for you to run mid 15's.

tune up, if you haven't already.....the gsr is supposed to turn consistent 15's stock cause the stock jdm integra type R turns mid to low 14's stock. holler.........

Well i guess you wont believe that I was running 15.1 100% stock(95 gsr 2dr) and now 14.9 with an intake and aftermarket wheels/tires.

Also rt has nothing to do with your time. Its only matters in braket racing. Try lowering the pressure in your tires to get a better 60' and id also suggest a tune up. 16s are really bad for a gsr so somethings not right.

well i felt like my times were pretty good because there were 3 other gsr's there with intakes headders coilovers and chipped ecu's all running 15.5's and a little bit lower...none or them were in the 14's..i feel like the times are high here..because my brothers c32 should run low 13's and best we did was 13.8...and that was a good ass run...it could easily be the track..i mean PIR (Portland International Raceway) isnt just a drag strip..and not true about the RT if you have a .400 RT vs a .700 RT and you did everything else the same then your .400 1/4mile time will be .3 secconds faster....and bracket raceing isnt done like that either...its done by your total 1/4mile time...eg. some guy is doin 14.5 vs some other guy doing 14.7.... they will give the 14.7 guy a 0.2 second headstart...and from there on it depends on who is going to win by their reaction times...it they both get there at the same time or who gets there first..without either of them beating their time...im pretty sure thats how its done..im gunna take it one more time before i put in the intake see if i better my time then go from there..i mean it was the first time i took it i the first week i had been driving it...

Your mistaken, In bracket racing your rt decides if you win or lose but reguardless it does not change your time(e.t.). The timer doesnt start till you cross the line.

if your so sure you are right why dont you go here and read about bracket racing...and youre right about the rt and et thing..but think of this if you have a bad rt time vs a good rt time and everything else was the saem which time was faster???!!! INTRO to E. T. Bracket Racing

your RT is a big ass thing..but thats not how bracket racing is done.. """""You select a time that you think your car will run. That's called your dial-in. When two cars compete, they subtract the dial-ins, and the slower car gets that much of a head start. """""

just go to that website and see who is right...

Ill say it one more time, RT has NOTHING to due with your e.t. And im aware of how bracket racing works. I didnt mean to say your rt decides everything. I meant to say that its combined with your closeness to your dial-in. My fault there.
