I'm just sitting here listening to the playlist I made that is the same as their setlist they played last weekend at the Gorge and I just realized that i don't think I'll ever see another concert that will even come close to being as awesome as seeing Tool at the Gorge. Fucking incredible live band, they sounded better live than on their studio recordings. The light show and stage were sweet as hell too. The entire stage was a screen so whatever they had for visual effects was below them as well as behind them so they were playing amidst all sorts of fire and psychedelic patterns and sacred geometry-related shit.

Sorry, might be a useless post, but goddamnit, Tool ruined rock concerts for me.

Here's the setlist if anyone is curious:

-Stinkfist
-The Pot
-46 and Two
-Jambi
-Schism
-Lost Keys/Roseta Stoned
-Opiate (the fucking highlight of the night!)
-Sober
-Lateralus
-Vicarious
-Ænema

2 friends from my office went to the gorge also. i wish i could have went. didn't get tickets though. the only thing about the gorge is that it's hot as fuck. i'm going to have to see them one of these days.

they are arguably the best rock band in the country right now.

Yeah I have heard the same thing from others, I know there playing real soon here in LA, I just might have to get tickets now.

I've already got my tickets to see them next Monday...can't fucking wait

this is probably going to be the first concert in a while that I won't be fucked up at, because I'm sure it's going to be awesome to the extent that I'll want to remember it perfectly afterwards.

I remember seeing them during Lollapalooza Festival in 93, and I've seen them a few times since then. The shows have always been 100% amazing visually and musically.

I saw them a few years back touring for Lateralus. Maynard is a strange dude lol. The whole concert he was on a small spinning platform kind of in the back, completely shaved and wearing what could only look like a black diaper. There were never really any lights on him, so half the time it looked like a silhouette. He literally looked like a primate stomping/smashing around. The rest of the band was kind of boring however, didn't really move around, played great, but didn't move much at all. I'd have killed to have gone to see them on this tour because 10,000 Days is a great album, Rosetta Stoned is freaking awesome, but they didn't come through St. Louis. I know alot of people don't like Metallica now, but they're easily the best live band I've ever seen with Tool being a close second.

I won't get to go to the concert in Houston.... but at least I had fun performing the Tool songs in the laser shows I used to do.

I saw tool back in 97 i think it was at the first ozzfest.

I've been trying to see them ever since.... but tickets are $200 bucks and sell out in 12 minuets.... :(

i STILL think I like APC better...
Tool fucking rocks, but I associate myself with APC's music more...
