So any of you dog people ever give your dogs beer?
I know lots of people do this but I was wondering if there is any info on whether its actually bad for the dog...

and i'm not talking happy tail ale... i'm talking about people beer, heineken, etc
 
when i was little my dad used to give our dog (irish setter named Cinnamon) some Budweiser once in while and it would get her drunk
 
heineken is not people beer. :shiver:

anyway, i know plenty of people who do it too with no ill effects on the dogs.


On the other hand, i've also seen cats tripping on acid... walking up walls and shit... and i'm sure thats not good for them. :X

she laps a few licks, and the bubbles tickles her nose, and she steps back 2-3 steps, rubs her nose and goes for a few more laps...laps and repeat... funny as hell.
 
lol...yea...i wouldnt think it would be bad for them...if its not a reoccurring thing...as for the acid comment...lol...ive seen some high kitties...they go crazy!!!
 
o yea...and on a different note of messin with pets...i put this japanese numbing ointment stuff on this cats paws...and it was hilarious that cat would go nuts!!!
 
yea... well according to my old lady i'm the "worst dog sitter ever"

rule #1 don't bring the dog to the garage
and apparently rule #2 was don't let the dog play beer pong...

And while we are on this subject, I'd like to say something about the generation of people I grew up with. I happen to have been born at around the same time as the "Generation X"-ers, a large fraction of whom have or are still using recreational drugs. Many of those people have animals of their own, including dogs. Some of these people do drugs at home, the place where their dog also lives. These factors have collectively led to a small number of people deciding it was a fantastic idea to take a bong hit and, instead of exhaling it into the common air like Willie Nelson does, BLOW IT INTO THEIR DOG'S FACE. I DISAPPROVE TIMES A TRILLION. Please do not do drugs with your dog, I'm begging you. I have seen the long-term effects for myself; my ex-best friend's brother has an utterly retarded boxer as a result of this kind of behavior.

Haha one time i gave my friends dog a bottle of "Flying Dog Hefewizen".

Her dog lookes just like the one on the lable lol.

The results were great. Mixed a lil Hefe with the dog food . . . .
 
i have a 2 yr old boxer that weve been feeding beer since it was like 3 months old....he fucking loves beer and seems to like to get drunk to....no ill effects thus far
 
i gave a chihuahua mike's hard lemonade once. it was funny as shit. the dog just wandered around bumping into shit.
 
My friend's cat is retarded from being smoked up, but I know a few dogs that drink with no ill effects. The two dogs in my house are bitches, they barely ever drink beer (there "moms" drink wine). It was funny as hell one time, Mr. Big licked a shot glass that had had whiskey in it and he puked.

My other friend's dog will actually jump up and knock beers over or out of your hand to get some beer. We think the dog has a problem, but they don't have doggie AA, yet.
 
My buddies dog is a real lightweight and he's done by two beers, then again he weighs like 30lbs.

The other dog, thats a big chocolate lab, has a higher tolerance. I gave him some straight vodka once and he went to town on about 10 shots worth like it was his job.
 
Harvard loves beer, in fact he had two or three on Labor Day. I give him the bottle and he just goes to town :)

30lbs, 2 beers... damn that dog can drink
and 10 shots straight lapping? thats harsh, even for an animal that likes the taste of their own ass, still harsh

anyone see the video of the jungle animals that ate all the fermented fruit and got trashed?
