i have JDM SIR II B16A engine with GSR P72 ECU.

is it ok for engine? because i hear vtec working on after around 6000 rpm.(dont know exactly when...)

however i got z4 ecu which is 99-00 civic si ecu.

is it better for engine? if not, what would be better for my engine?

one more question, people say p27 is good. is it true?

get the ecu thats for your engine, the p72 will cause you to run to rich

werd. id recommend you find a p30 to run that or get it chipped with a map for a p30 (kinda hard to find one made for the p72, luckily, its not to hard to convert the p30 map over to the p72 fuel settings).

what ecu gonna be right ecu for my jdm b16a2 engine?

engine name is JDM SIR II B16A (DOHC VTEC) with p72 ecu... which is gsr ecu...

and i heard that p72 ecu isnt for my engine...

is that true?

if so, what wuold be best and is 99-00 civic si ecu gonna be alright for engine?

GOD DAMNIT READ WHAT I POST.

the correct ecu for a b16a2 (from a 99-00 civic si) is a p2t.
the correct ecu for a b16a3 (del sol vtec) is a p30.

if your car is obd2b, go with the p2t, if its anything else, convert to obd1 and use the p30.

ok... sorry about that i do not understand well...

but how do i know my car is obd2b or obd1 something like that...

what year is the car?

obd2b is 99-00. if youre car is any other year, use the p30.

do you have a jdm b16a or do you have a b16a2 (meaning usdm)?

the p72 is a gsr ecu, meaning built for a taller deck and a longer stroke. that being the case, it requires more fuel to run, and if you try and use it on your b16 itll run like crap.

i dont know... it says SIR II B16A motor swap (DOHC VTEC)

is it jdm or usdm?

and i have 92 civic hatch with that engine...

i dont know about engine.. thats why im so stock on ecu stuff...

but now i got that i should get p30...

and i bought a 99-00 civic si ecu and do u guys think that it wont work for my engine?

and... SIR II B16A motor is obd 1 or 2?

Your asking about an ECU and you dont know what motor you have?? Find out which motor you have and then we can help you with your original question..And DONT start another thread about it..Just post it here..

oopse..
i just finally got what i have...
i have jdm b16... not b16a2...
and its obd1...

so... 99-00 civic si ecu wont work with my engine?

and previouse owner told me that p72 gsr ecu perfectly work with jdm b16 engine. is it true?

yeah.. probably i gotta get p30 because when im running, vtec doesnt work after 4500 rpm... it works after around 6000 rpm.
u know where should i get p30?
should i get just ecu or ecu with jumper harness stuff?
