00 gsr is obd2 but it bolts right up your your existing chassis harness so you have no problems whatsoever, and since your already wired up for vtec all you have to wire up is iab and knock sensor and you good to go, all you would need is a obd1 p72 ecu or a chipped p28 with a gsr basemap to run the motor

good luck

ok thanks so then the engine itself will mount right up stock mounts and everything but the only problem that there will be, taking into consideration that it is a obd2, will be the ecu ... and you are saying to get a obd1 p72 or a chipped p28?? is there any way to tell if the engine is obd 1 or 2??? and if it is a obd1 then will i have to change anything or will it basically just drop right in and plug and play after that??oh and how would you wire up the iab and the knock sensor.. do you know how.?? thanks

00 gsr is def obd2 yes i would recommend getting a obd1 p72 that cost about $130

i have that same motor in my 92 hatch its drops right in and plugs right up. doesn't matter if the motor is obd1 or 2 either one will drop in a plug up. and for the iab i belive it goes to pin a17 and knock sensor goes to pin d3 on the ecu.

good luck with your swap its a great motor

I just put a obd2 gsr motor in my 94 civic ex last weekend and it dropped in, i just bought the rubber mounts for the ac bracket and the right front trans mount. I used the obd2 harness, they just plug into the shock tower harness, and i'm using a obd` p72 just fine and yes move pin a20 to a17, wire the knock sensor and the iab. its all under the reference section.
