Has anyone seen a K20 or a K24 swapped into a 95 Prelude? I need to know what I'm looking at in the way of mouting and fitment. I have several options available to me at the moment and I'm considering a K24 or a H23 block/ H22a head combo. Whatever I decide it will have a T3/T04 turbo setup between 18 and 22 psi.

After you guys help me decide I'll start a thread to document the swap and build-up.

Thanks

if your going turbo stay with the h23. sleeve it and get new pistons and rods. you dont need vtec for turbo (its actually kind of a hinderance). After that, the h23 has a VERY similar bolt pattern to the dsm's, so you can steal an eclipse turbo manifold (super cheap) and just build you a home made turbo :)

Another possibility just became available. I might be doing a C32b swap from an NSX Type-R. If that doesn't work I'll go with the H23a1. I just need to find a long block somewhere.

ummmmm....id advise against the c32b....not only is it going to be a bitch, its a no mods allowed zone....you still are gonna end up with those damned frm sleeves.

Ok. Shit like that pisses me off. What I want to know is how the fuck do you know how much money I have?

Just to let it be known, I'm not paying for the entire thing myself. I work at Full Tilt, a custom shop in Missouri and this car is my project that is going to be a show car and a poster child for our shop so my boss is the one who is financially backing it. For God sake we just finished putting a Greddy twin turbo kit on his 350Z, my friend Christian is in the process of building a Supra that will be in the 1200 to 1400 hp range, and we're about to do a Nissan Titan 5.6 V8 Twin Turbo swap into a S13 240SX so even though a lot of effort would go into it, nothing is impossible (Twins on a C32b and a RWD conversion would be nice).

I don't want to start shit but please don't go around the forums talking shit on people who you don't know.

i do know this....1200 hp in a supra is too much. all of that power will never see the ground. you will have wheel spin like you will not believe...even after you get passed 4th gear.

i thought it was 10...but what do i know?

if you have the backing and people to do this, then you don't need to be posting on a honda forum. you would call fabricators directly. they would make custom mounts and axles and all that. 1200 hp is bullshit and putting a titan engine into a 240sx is stupid. if your crew can do that, build your own website and be a millionaire. you are above our abilities we have on here.

your 18, there is no possible way you can afford a h22/23 turbo, k20 turbo, or a fucking nsx swap (durrr)
well thats just the biggest BS ive ever heard of.

I had owned 3 cars by the time I was 18, none of which I payed less than 3000 for.

I had my first 300whp turbo civic when I was 17. (forged pistons/rods, block posted, and pretty much rebuilt the whole thing, all by myself.)

All with my OWN money. I dont hustle, I dont do anything illegal, I just work, and am smart.

btw, I also graduated when i was 16 and had IB courses all through high school.

yes, and ALLLL teenagers are just like you, your one experience is VASTLY different than probably... 98% of regular kids. but please, look at what he is saying, all three of those options cost money, a sizable amount too. And i doubt this kid graduated when he was 16 with IB courses and all that other shit. Just cause you did it, doesnt mean everyone did.

Anyways, i agree with nick, if your shop is so reputable and all that shit, thennnn why are you posting here?

The reason I posted it here is because I wanted to see how many people have done it so far. Also, I'm doing all the work myself so I wanted to know how difficult it would be if I decided to do it. I also just wanted some feedback on what people would think of something weird like that. And where better to get some opinions than a forum site solely dedicated to Honda motor swaps? I'm shooting for something off the wall, something that you hardly see anywhere: that's the whole reason we're doing the Titan swap in the 240. Of course it makes absolutely no sense and is completely absurd; but who else can say that they've done it before? I'm not going for practical, I'm going for unique.

And by the way (I'm not trying to sound snobbish or better than anyone, but) I graduated number 7 in my class of 1700 students when I was 17 and was one of only 3 students who completed more that 60 credit hours of college courses before graduating. And somehow I passed college physics with a 98% A (which was the biggest bitch ever). You still beat me on that though, d112crzy.

Bottom line, I welcome and appreciate any creative or constructive criticism given. I'm just a kid who's got a lot of opportunity and isn't quite sure what to do with it all.

Thanks guys

if its unique you're going for, then its not gona be this. It has already been done.

unless you have access to a welder, grinder, and lots of heavy duty metal, and you're great at doing tons of calculations, this is not possible for an everyday joe.
