no way man. we won't ever see $38/barrell. the oil companies won't cut profits that much. they might be able to sell for that much, but they won't change because they will want to keep all that extra profits.
 
never underestimate the power of greed. the pump still won't be affected, and that's all that matters.
 
But the power of competition exists.

one gas station drops it a penny, so does the station next door.
repeat.
 
I heard on the news somewere back east had gas at $1.98....... WOAH!!! give me some of that!
 
2.19 for the cheap stuff here...2.16 with the kroger card...2.09 with the kroger card after spending $100 on groceries...hahaha
